We all love when a supporting character gets their own spin-off. Many fans dream of their favorite NPCs in a particular game becoming the star of a future title. It is a great opportunity to spend more time with them and dive into their heads.

It also gives an opportunity for players to see the main character of the game in a different perspective, like Solid Snake playing a supporting role inMetal Gear Solid 2after starring in three games. While the likelihood of these NPC anti-heroes receiving their own game is low, one can always dream and imagine how cool it would be.

Few games are big enough to give all of their supporting characters such defined arcs. Some end up tragic, while others do the best with what they get.Sadie Adler transforms through the course of the gamefrom a grieving widow into a bounty hunter who can handle any trouble that comes her way.

By the end ofRed Dead Redemption 2,she recovers from a stab wound and rides off into the sunset, wishing John and Abigail Marston all the best in their future life. One would like to think she kept up her bounty hunting until she got too old and settled down into a peaceful life.

How can players know if she never gets to star in her own game? It is easy to see how the last days of bounty hunting would thematically connect to the series' themes of running away and clashing with modernity.

Fans who started withMetal Gear Solidare introduced to Frank Jaeger as the cyborg ninja who battles with Solid Snake and later saves his life. There is no world whereplaying as a cyborg ninja in a character action game is not cool.

WithMetal Gear Rising: Revengeanceearning cult-classic status, what is stopping a spiritual successor from happening in the form of a game starring Frank Jaeger. The game would be a prequel toMetal Gear Solid.

It would begin with his defeat at the hands of Solid Snake and then going through the transformation into the Ninja, ending right where the 1998 video game begins.

DC villains are rarely sympathetic or understandable. Poison Ivy is an exception. She is compelled to protect nature, something which obviously means harming humans. Even though she is a part of Batman’s rogue gallery, she ends up saving the day inArkham Knight.

She sacrifices herself to save Gotham from the Crow’s trademark fear toxin. Such a noble act earns her a video game. It would be a great juxtaposition to theBatmangames.

Instead of ruthlessly beating down criminals, a Poison Ivy game would see her attacking the city in the name of saving the planet. The possibilities for game mechanics utilizing her powers also make this an appealing idea.

Betrayal is an integral part of manyGrand Theft Autostories. It literally happens in almost every game in the series. Players expect Lama to turn his back on Franklin sometime during the story, especially since greed and dishonesty are at the heart ofGrand Theft Auto’splot.

The two have honest conversations that showcase friction in the relationship. Fortunately, Lamar stays by his friend’s side and never betrays him even at the darker points in their friendship. His loyalty should be rewarded with a spin-off game taking place in Los Santos.

It would also kill two birds with one stone since many were disappointed thatGrand Theft Auto 5never received any additional single-player content after release.

There’s always a chance he’ll show up inGrand Theft Auto 6

Luis Serra is an anti-hero for two reasons. One, he is partly responsible for the Plagas that destroy the village inResident Evil 4. Secondly, he is a creep. He presents as a lady’s man but something tells us he does not actually have that much success, if his one-liners towards Ashley are any indication.

All the same, a game starring Luis either during or before the events ofResident Evil 4would be just as good an excuse as any to revisit the setting. Ada Wong already got her turn withSeparate Ways, so it only feels right for Luis to get his day in the sun.

Jecht comes off as a jerk and a terrible father for most ofFinal Fantasy 10. By the end, players learn of his grand sacrifice and plan to save Spira from Sin. Like a lot of complicated father-son relationships, Jecht loved his son but had a hard time showing it and rarely treated him right.

A game starring Jecht, Auron, and Lord Braska during their pilgrimage to defeat Sinten years before Yuna’s journeywould be a great reason to revisit the world of Spira. It might not add a lot to the overallFinal Fantasy 10lore, but it would be fascinating to see what Spira was like in the past and spend time with characters like Jecht and Lord Braska who are only seen in flashbacks.
