The menus inThe Witcher 3are quite well-designed, so a lot of people would argue that an overhaul of them is not particularly necessary. However, when it comes to organization and accessibility, the easier to use something can be, the better.
TheFriendly HUDmod offers a ton of options to configure different HUD models, and it also adds 3D markers for things like quests and NPC tracking. This mod is fairly simple to use and can make modding less intimidating for newcomers.

Although The Continent is not the largest open-world map in games of this genre, it can take a while to explore. Fast traveling is not a luxury, but rather a necessity, as, without it, the game could feel frustrating and even tedious at some point.
The one downside of fast travel in the base game is that players must be at a signpost to do so. TheFast Travel From Anywheremod is a great advantage at players’ disposal, as it eliminates the need to be at a signpost to use this feature. In a game likeThe Witcher 3, organization is critical, so having a mod that allows Geralt to roam freely throughout The Continent without having to worry about losing sight of the important stuff, is a great advantage to have. The All Quest Objectives On Map can be of great help when players are tracking down some of thebest silver swords in the game.

Oils help deal additional damage to certain enemies, as long as they’re picked right. However, sometimes players can forget to apply the necessary Oil to their swords, putting them at a disadvantage.
Luckily, there’s theAuto Apply Oilsmod, which, as its name suggests, applies the necessary Oil to Geralt’s sword depending on the monster he’s facing. Naturally, players must have the right Oil in their inventory for this to work. Since patch 4.03, this option is built into the game, so the mod is not necessary. However, if players want to compare the mod to the base game’s version, downloading Auto Apply Oils might still be a good idea as they cover both the main andsecret side quests in the game.
