As shared by CharlieIntel, Activision commented on reports of the aforementioned cheat, revealing that the viral video that showed the tool in action is fromCall of Duty: Black Ops 6’s beta version and that the issue has since been “fixed.” Regardless, it has reportedly begun investigating new clips sharing this problem, while simultaneously running a “detailed examination” to check if the measures previously taken to fix the issue were bypassed. Apart from the team behind theRicochet anti-cheat system, Activision is also leveraging its “other teams, including legal” to combat interference from cheaters in what the gaming giant describes as an “attack” on the issue from “from all angles.”

The latest move from Activision to tackle the cheat tool is one of the many instances whereCall of Dutydevs have emphasized their prompt approach against foul play. Back in January, Treyarch gave an overview of its efforts on that front, revealing thebanning of over 36,000 cheaters sinceCall of Duty: Black Ops 6kicked off its Ranked Play mode. With the game’s new season that began on Jul 08, 2025, the devs further introduced new ways to detect cheaters, such as improved client and server-side detections.
