Amazon has an advertising strategythat has absolutely nothing to do with giving fans quality television shows and movies. All they want to do is get eyeballs transfixed on their barrage of adverts, and they’ll market a show to a specific audience in order to achieve that.Amazon is just one of many streamers out there who are dumbing down their ‘content’ to cater to an ever increasingly distracted audience.Amazon is targeting the casual viewer, who scrolls on their phone during a television show, instead of investing in high quality content that urges them to switch off. They don’t want fans to ‘switch off’ because if they do that, their advertising model is doomed.
BoschandBosch Legacyare prestige television shows, with superb cinematography and multi-layered storylines. When Amazon launched their streaming service over a decade ago, they cared about this kind of thing. In fact, it was the originalBoschseries that played a huge part in putting them on the map. However, whenBosch: Legacywas launched in 2022, it was dumped onto Amazon’s ad-supported service, Freevee.
