Thefourth episode has been delayed for a week, and is not set to premiere on July 30, 2025. It seems that this delay was planned beforehand, though, as what will be aired instead of the episode is a special program featuring Ayane Sakura (who plays Ameku). It is not confirmed if this special will also be released on Crunchyroll.
What is Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective?
This series is originally a novel written byMikito Chinenand illustrated byNoizi Ito(character designer forShakugan no Shanaand also one of the artists who worked inSakura Wars). It is published by Shinchosa in Japan, but it hasn’t been licensed in the US. It has spawned two manga and now an anime.
The story focuses on Ameku Takao, director of the Department of Investigative Pathology at a general hospital. Her department is needed when others cannot diagnose a patient. Because of the nature of her job, she is often involved with mysterious deaths and murders, and she loves solving those mysteries. This might be agood show forDr. Housefans.
Dr. Takao Ameku is the brilliant yet eccentric director of investigative pathology at Tenikai General Hospital, in charge of diagnosing patients the other hospital departments cannot. However, due to her love of solving mysteries, Takao also gets involved with mysterious deaths and murders, all while dragging along her assistant Yu Takanashi in her various adventures.

Fox Capture Plan is composing the music.
