New content fromAttack on School Castes– the post-credit scene ofAttack on Titan the Movie: The Last Attack– was recently unveiled! The movie premiered in Japanese theaters in November, and is still screening in 4DX and MX4D theaters.
The Last Attackis a compilation of the Final Season Parts 3 and 4 with additional footage, includingtheSchool Castesegment, which is unrelated to the main plot.
To celebrate the milestone of surpassing one million viewers, theproduction team shared new promotional images of the scenes. They show Mikasa, Levi Ackerman, Eren and Armin:
What Is Attack on School Castes?
Attack on School Castesis a short story parody ofAttack on Titanfeatured in the final pages of the manga volumes, starting with Volume 21. It portrays the main characters as ordinary people of our world.
InLast Attack, Eren, Mikasa and Armin make comments after watching the movie, which they all enjoyed. While some people might think this is odd, there are other media portraying the characters as ordinary people, likeAttack on Titan: Junior Highand its sequel,Attack on Titan: High School.
SinceJunior Highhas been adapted into anime, some fans still hope thatSchool Castewill eventually get a proper adaptation – considering they are heavily promoting this part of the movie, they might be checking how the audience reacts in order to decide if it is worth investing in a short anime forSchool Caste.
The Last Attack Hits US Theaters This Month
Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACKis set to debut this month in the US. However, it will not be a typical release:it will be a one-day only screening on February 10. Tickets are on sale now, and there will bedubbed and subbed screenings.
The movie will also be released inother countries by Sony and Crunchyroll, but it seems that other regions will not follow the one-day only format. It is likely that the movie will be added to Crunchyroll some time later.
