Magnetuning hasn’t only moved the camera to show facial expressions but has also added more idle animations for the companions Wyll and Astarion.
These animations will play at random while they are hanging around their tents to give both of the characters more personality when they aren’t in the main party. The animations fit each character well, with Wyll practicing his dancing while Astarion combs his hair while not changing too much about the game.

Astarion is arguably one of the most popular companions in the game, though one of his facial animations has been questioned by players, as sometimes when he smiles he grins in a rather unnatural way. This has been fondly nicknamed the “Grinch smile” by fans, with some modders working to replace this smile with one of the others.
For those who are off-put by this fiendish grin, this mod may be for them. With two versions available, a player can pick the smile they love most and be glad to never see that smile again on Astarion, while those who have fallen in love with his unusual smile can keep it.
