Tales of Graceswas first released for the Wii in 2009 but only for Japan. North America wouldn’t get to play it until the HD version,Tales of Graces f, came out for the PS3 in 2012. It’s been a bit lost to time since then but now it’s back with another update,Tales of Graces f Remastered.
One of the coolest things inTales of Graces f Remasteredis the Grade Shop. At the beginning of the game, players can decide to apply assist-like settings to their adventure via Grades like speeding up movement or reducing shop prices. What Grades should newbies apply? Here’s a breakdown of the best ones.

75X Experience
Level Up Faster
Grinding forEXP to level upcan be one of the factors that prevent more people from jumping into RPGs. Some games make leveling up a repetitive chore depending on how hard the difficulty level is. 5X Experience is a Grade players can buy inTales of Graces f Remasteredthat will increase EXP earned in battle by a value of five.
There are lesser versions too and even a way to halve the amount of EXP earned if players want more of a challenge. Players may also want to think about Max HP +1000 which can give them a bigger edge in battle defensively.

6Chain Capacity +2
Use More Moves In Battle
Chain Capacity +2 does not increase the number of combos players can perform with party members although there is a linking system for attacks inTales of Graces f Remastered. Instead, Capacity refers to a number by the hero’s various gauges. Every action they take will tick that number down to zero.
When it does reach zero, a hero will be vulnerable as they won’t be able to attack or defend as effectively. It’s like the cooldown system in theearlyManagames, so the more Capacity players have inTales of Graces f Remastered, the more actions they can take without needing to rest.

5Double Damage
A Double-Edged Sword
Double Damage is one of the few Grades in the game that hurts the player as it will double the damage output from heroes but enemies will also be stronger. There is a version players can buy which will increase damage by five like the EXP Grade.
While technically better, that may be too hard to balance for beginners. That’s why Double Damage is recommended first and if even that becomes too much of a burden, players can always turn it off. The most important thing inan action RPGis for players to learn the combat system and get comfortable with it first above all other distractions.

4Double Gald
Ensure You’ll Always Get The Best Equipment
Double Gald should be self-explanatory as Gald is thecurrency of this RPG. Gald can buy equipment and items and sometimes getting the right amount in an RPG is just as time-consuming as grinding for EXP. That’s why Double Gald is handy to lessen the grind for money.
Players may also want to invest in the Grade called Halved Shop Prices which will reduce prices. With these two Grades combined inTales of Graces f Remastered, players can always get the best stuff without worrying about the next tier of Gald investments.

3Double Item Drops
Keep Your Item Costs Down
Double Item Drops will also help with spending Gald as it will allow players to get twice the amount ofloot drops from enemies. Typically enemies will only drop materials for fusion-based recipes or healing items like Apple Gels. It’s not that exciting but it is a practical Grade since players won’t have to worry about buying menial things like healing items.
Players should also get Expand Inventory which will increase the amount players can carry of a single item. As a metaphorical example,Tales of Graces f Remasteredcould normally allow players to carry ten Apple Gels but Expand Inventory could double or even triple that amount.

2Triple SP
Expand Your Abilities
There are two major ways to level up inTales of Graces f Remastered. There is the traditional method of raising literal levels like going from one to two and beyond. Leveling up in this way will increase stats like HP and attack power.
Then there is SP which can unlock Titles in the game. Titles are on a grid-like system similar a bit like theLicense Board fromFinal Fantasy 12but on a much smaller scale. Triple SP is a Grade that can help unlock Titles faster to get new stat boosts or abilities for heroes.

1Upgrade Eleth Mixer
Make Items Like A Pro
The Eleth Mixer is both an alchemy-like pot that appears in other RPGs along witha cooking system. Players can place ingredients inside and there is an opportunity to get something as a result or have items automatically applied to a character. Upgrade Eleth Mixer will help produce better items or at least increase the chances of getting better stuff.
Maximum Eleth +500 is another good Grade to tag on as it upgrades the capacity meaning that players can dump more things into the Eleth Mixer at once. It can be hard for players to distinguish between the Eleth Mixer and the Dualize shopkeeper in the early hours ofTales of Graces f Remasteredas both setups are similar, but given time it should all sink in.
