Summary

Riot Games has been dropping subtle hints aboutValorantMobilefor what feels like forever now. Fans have been eagerly waiting, but the game is still kept under wraps and has turned into a frustrating sore spot for avidValorantplayers. Sure, there are plenty of FPS options out there, but let’s face it — few quite live up to the magic ofValorant.

When the genre is shifted to mobile, the selection becomes even narrower. Players are left with two choices — either dive into mobile adaptations of other big-name franchises likePUBG MobileorCall of Duty Mobileor venture into a more niche corner of mobile gaming to at least attempt to capture the same experience. At least untilValorant Mobileofficially graces the world with its global release.

1Bullet Echo

A Top-Down Tactical Shooter With Stealth Action

ThrowingBullet Echointo the mix might feel like a bit of a reach, but honestly, it’s a game that could vibe well withValorantfans. For starters, they’re both tactical shooters. One could even argueBullet Echois like anAmong Usversion ofValorantbecause of its top-down view.

The game’s got stealth play, a ton of customization, and skills that feel pretty similar to whatValorantbrings to the table. It’s simple, but it nails what it’s going for. Plus, there are multiple modes to match whatever playstyle players are in the mood for. There’s PvP, solo, team-based, and even a battle royale option.

What makesBullet Echostand out, though, is its unique take on stealth. Instead of just camping and waiting, players rely on hearing footsteps, creaks, and random noises from others. They can only see what their flashlight hits, so the rest is all about sharp instincts and keen senses. All in all, it’s a solid game that becomes gripping once players get the hang of it.

2T3 Arena

A Blend Of Valorant & Overwatch

There’s a bit of a debate going on online about whetherT3 Arenais now a “dying” game or if it’s still going strong. It does have a very strong, loyal fanbase, and the game is getting new players almost daily — but, it hasn’t had any updates in a long time, which makes it feel like the studio is fresh out of ideas for it.

Nevertheless, the game is basically a mixture ofValorantandOverwatch. It’s not first-person, but the gameplay, graphics, and pace are very similar toValorant. It’s a perfect alternative for thosewho want to get that AAA experiencewithout committing to a very expensive setup for it to properly run. LikeValorant, the game is also a tactical shooter that works by blending strategy and booming action. It has thirty different playable characters that all have their quirks, skills, and playstyles. For a mobile game,T3 Arenais considerably expansive and scratches that tactical-shooter itch.

3Goddess Of Victory: Nikke

Sci-Fi RPG Shooter With An Ability System

Goddess of Victory: Nikkeis an RPG shooter gamethat is definitelynotlikeValorant, but could be a nice little change for avid players. It’s set in a sci-fi backdrop where players get to select a five interchangeable character team that hides behind a large cover to shoot at enemies in front of them.

Each character, called Nikki, has her own set of skills, abilities, and weapons that are catered to having dynamic action. Now here’s where theValorantsimilarities come in — barely, but they’re there. As mentioned before, each Nikki has her own set of skills and powers. Two of these abilities are normal combat abilities, and one is a burst ability — basically an ultimate with higher attack damage/power or whatnot. Players get thrown swarms of enemies they have to fight off until, eventually, they get to the boss. Defeating the boss clears the stage and supplies players with resources to strengthen gameplay.

4Critical Ops

First-Person Shooter That Plays Like CS

Critical Opsis more of aCounter-Strikeclonethan aValorantone, but it still incorporates that tactical gameplay aspect that makes it catch for fans of both games. Like most first-person tactical shooters, this one also offers players a blend of strategy, teamwork, and precise shooting mechanics. It could very well be the perfect mobile alternative to bothCSandValorantfor those on the go.

The game features two opposing teams, The Coalition and The Breach. The Coalition plays as the counter-terrorists, who naturally work toward preventing bomb plants, while The Breach team plays as the attackers that plant the bomb. Players can win the match by either securing their objectives or by eliminating everyone in the enemy team. Pretty standard stuff.

5Matrix Fire

Cyber-Punk Themed FPS With Neon Heavy Graphics

Matrix Fireis arguably the only mobile game out there that comes remotely close to replicating theValorantexperience and hasn’t been taken down yet. It’sset in a cyberpunk-inspired worldand is a first-person shooter that features fast-paced action combined with graphics that genuinely make the experience immersive.

The game’s aesthetic leans heavily into neon-drenched environments. In addition to that, its sleek character designs and futuristic weapons take home the “cyberpunk” theme. While its gameplay mechanics are similar to other FPS games — with the usual bomb defusion matches, deathmatches, and team-based competitive modes — it adds its flair with unique abilities and tactical elements that give it a certain edge. It also doesn’t shy away from customization — the game goes heavy on the skins and personalization front and makes it a core part of the gameplay.

Honorable Mention: Rainbow Six Mobile

Ubisoft’sRainbow Sixfranchisehas an upcoming first-person tactical shooter that can essentially be considered the mobile version ofRainbow Six Siege. It features the same classic fast-paced gameplay with attackers and defenders with a heavy emphasis on strategy — so,Valorant?

ThoughRainbow Six Mobileis technically a different game, it feels like a “mini” version ofSiege, with similar characters and their unique abilities and skills. The environments are dynamic and interactive, making them a core part of the tactical gameplay. It also brings back iconicSiegemaps like Bank, Clubhouse, Border, and Oregon. It’s basically a scaled-down version ofRainbow Six Siegethat could be a solid alternative for not justSiegefans, butValorantplayers too. The real question is, will the world get to experienceRainbow Six MobilebeforeValorantMobiledrops, or is that just wishful thinking?
