Summary
Boss fights inHollow Knightare one of the biggest factors for the game’s immense success. Featuring literal gods to otherworldly creatures, the fallen kingdom of Hallownest always has tons of challenges up its sleeves to consistently test the player’s mettle at every passing turn. Warrior Dream bosses are one of the many hurdles players can face as they explore the depths of Hallownest.
Warrior Dream bosses are a unique group of boss fightswhere players can challenge the spirits of fallen warriors to obtain their Essence, which fuels the Dream Nail in the all-important quest to awaken it to unearth a shocking secret. These bosses are not the highlights of the game, but they do offer lore about the kingdom’s past and feature unique gimmicks.

Some of these bosses have also become big fan favorites among the game’s community, while some others have earned the ire of many for their unforgiving difficulty or blandness. It’s time to take a look at all the Warrior Dream bosses inHollow Knightand rank them from worst to best.
7Marmu
Protector Of Queen’s Gardens
While Marmu is a hilarious boss to fight inHollow Knight, she is easily the least interactive and boring Warrior Dream boss in the game. She has a complete lack of an engaging moveset and is pretty much a meme boss.
All players have to do is slash upward to keep Marmu bouncing like a ping-pong ball, and she will eventually dissipate into Essence that players can collect in theirquest to awake the Dream Nail, which requires a grand total of 1800 Essence.

6Gorb
Ascend With Gorb
Gorb is another popular boss inHollow Knight, and just like Marmu, he is known for being more of a meme than an actually fun and interesting boss fight.
Gorb might have the most boring moveset out of any boss fight in the game, perhaps only rivaled by the next entry on this list. Gorb is a very simple and extremely easy boss to clear, which should provide a nice start for players looking to collect Essence.

5Xero
The Traitor
The aforementioned entry that might rival Gorb for the most boring moveset in aHollow Knightboss is Xero. Much like the former, the latter has one move that essentially increases in number until his defeat. Furthermore, players can simply jump down from the arena to avoid his spears.
The only reason he ranks above Gorb is due to the visually stunning boss room, and the fact that he is the very first Warrior Dream boss most players will battle.

4Elder Hu
Traveling Hermit
Elder Hu is a fairly simple Dream Warrior boss to tackle if players havethe Shade Cloak upgrade. Without it, dodging his golden disc attacks can be a bit challenging and requires precise timing to avoid taking damage.
Other than this, he is a fairly monotonous boss. However, his lore is quite sad and gives the players the idea of the horrors the Infection has created in Hallownest.

3Galien
Brave Fighter
Galien is the first of three Warrior Dream bosses, alongside the upcoming two entries, where players will have to be on their guard quite often. While he is still an easy boss fight in the grand scheme of things, getting too confident can easily deplete masks since Galien’s rotating scythes have immense speed.
However, he is also one of the most fragile bosses and can be face-tanked witha proper charm setupsuch as a pure Nail build or an all-out spell build. The versatility of approaching this boss, and the ambiance of the arena, make him a solid Warrior Dream boss.

2No Eyes
Infected Warrior
No Eyes has one of the creepiest and most interesting atmospheres in aHollow Knightboss fight. While most boss fights in the game are accompanied by a soundtrack, players can only hear No Eyes' creepy lullaby throughout the fight, located in adark arena in Greenpath’s Stone Sanctuary.
The fight also tests the player’s movement abilities, as they will need to constantly dodge the spirits she summons. No Eyes is a fantastic Warrior Dream boss with a unique design compared to the rest of the roster.

1Markoth
Wandering Moth
Markoth is a very divisive figure in theHollow Knightcommunity, particularly due to theoutrageously difficult fight in the Pantheon of Hallownestversion. However, the base game Markoth is a challenging yet exciting fight featuring one of the coolest designed characters in the game.
A weapon-wielding Moth, a tribe known for being pacifists, is a great concept for a boss fight, and Markoth delivers on all fronts when it comes to difficulty. While it can get frustrating to fight against him, the satisfaction of defeating this Warrior Dream is a great feeling.
