Come summer, The Pokemon Company will debut a new range ofPokemon TCGproducts, according to a recent report fromPokeBeach. The upcoming set is rumored to be based on Black Bolt and White Flare, Generation 5 sets that are coming to Japan on June 6. The rumored English version of the same product lineup is said to be scheduled for a July 18 release. White Flare and Black Bolt are suspected to be references to Gen 5 legendaries Reshiram and Zekrom. Both terms wereoriginally trademarked by The Pokemon Companyback in September 2024.

New Pokemon TCG Special Set Will Reportedly Include 2 Elite Trainer Boxes

Much like Prismatic Evolutions, the upcoming lineup will be touted as a “special set,” meaning its booster packs won’t be sold individually but will exclusively be available as part ofPokemon TCGElite Trainer Boxes, Mini Tins, and similar bundles. PokeBeach reports that the first products from the upcoming lineup will be two ETBs, likely themed around Zekrom and Reshiram.

Two Booster Bundles are also said to be coming as part of the new set on August 22. They will presumably feature different cards, not least because mostPokemon TCGsets usually stick with a single Booster Bundle, meaning it’s unlikely that this division will be purely visual. In between the purported bundles and the rumored ETBs, The Pokemon Company will reportedly release two Tech Sticker Collections and Illustration Rare Boxes on August 1.
