Blue Lockjust kicked off a brand-new collaboration with the renowned English soccer team Liverpool FC!Blue Lockis currently one of themost hyped soccer anime series, and has been investing in partnerships to gather the attention of die-hard soccer fans.
While the manga is still ongoing (32 volumes have been released so far), the second seasonfinished broadcasting in December 2024. Since the series has been able to gather a solid fan base, a sequel (new season or movie) is likely to be announced soon.

The collaboration between Blue Lock and Liverpool FC, which is one of Kodansha’s global partners, features special illustrations ofBlue Lockcharacters wearing Liverpool’s home kit. This is not the first time Liverpool FC and Kodansha have made aBlue Lock-themed collaboration – it also happened in 2021, when Liverpool signed the partnership with Kodansha.
Other Blue Lock Collaborations in the Soccer World
Blue Lockmade many partnerships in the world of soccer, aiming to promote the anime. In 2022, it collaborated with Adidas tocreate a jersey to the Japanese National Team inspired by the series.
In 2023, the series partnered with Inter Milan, which spawned aspecial edition of the first volume by Panini Italia, featuring a cover illustration of the characters wearing Inter Milan’s kit.
Finally, in 2024, Blue Lock and J-Leaguelaunched the “Project J. League” collaborationto promoteBlue Lock The Movie -Episode Nagi-in Japan.
Besides the regular annual championships, Blue Lock could launch new partnerships during the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches. The qualifiers will resume later this year on all continents, so there are many opportunities for the series. Alternatively, it could start negotiating activations and collaborations to be held during the 2026 World Cup.
More news about the animeis likely to be unveiled in 2025, and it would be a good idea to air a new season or a movie during the World Cup in the next year, as soccer will become a hot topic once again.
