Sasuke Uchiha is one of the most importantNarutocharacters, and for good reason. Fans know him to possess tremendous strength, and much of that comes down to his fabled Rinnegan. An eye that was once considered to be just a myth, Sasuke awakened the Rinnegan in the Fourth Great Ninja War and attained enough strength to fight the likes of Madara Uchihaand even Kaguya Otsutsuki.
The Rinnegan was certainly a deserved power-up for Sasuke. Unfortunately, this eye wasn’t destined to stay with him forever.Boruto’sstory saw to it that Sasuke lost everything that he worked towards at the end of Naruto. But, this isn’t the end of the road. Sasuke is still a relevant character in theBorutoseries and he will eventually go on to return. When Sasuke does return, fans will most definitely see him reach a higher level of power, and all this could once again be tied to the Rinnegan.
How Sasuke Lost His Rinnegan
Sasuke Uchiha endured quite a difficult time in the Boruto series right from the get-go. Having reached the top of the world in terms of strength, Sasuke was absolutely phenomenal towards the end of the Naruto series, but unfortunately, Boruto wasn’t as kind to him. In fact, Sasuke didn’t have even a single major moment of shine in Boruto, which is a shame. Sasuke did show what was expected of him in the battle against Momoshiki Otsutsuki, where he combined with Naruto Uzumaki, but that was about it. Following this battle, every fight Sasuke fought saw him get embarrassed in one way or another. Against Jigen, Sasuke couldn’t do a thing.

Against Isshiki Sasuke was on the brink of death, and even later down the line, against Code, Sasuke ended up being turned into a tree, although, at the very least, he took Code’s eye before that happened. Regardless, it is clear to see that Sasuke Uchiha’s treatment in the Boruto series has, in many ways, been worse than that of Naruto. While Naruto got a major moment of shine when he used Baryon Mode in the battle against Momoshiki Otsutsuki, Sasuke got nothing. He didn’t contribute much to the fight and in the end, had his Rinnegan stabbed by Momoshiki Otsutsuki, who was possessing Boruto’s body at the time. With Sasuke receiving such a massive blow, it was clear to the fans that he’d never go on to reach massive heights ever again, and perhaps, Kishimoto had something to do with that:

How Ada Could Help Out Sasuke Get His Rinnegan Back
Fans Are Adamant That Sasuke Will Have His Powers Back
Logically speaking, Sasuke Uchiha has to return at some point in theBorutoseries. Without the likes of Naruto and Sasuke, the series is undoubtedly incomplete and fans know that. However, both of these characters need to have big roles when they return.
Had Sasuke and Naruto been side characters in the original series, it would’ve been fine to see them get sidelined. Fans don’t often complain about Rock Lee not getting major roles in Boruto, after all. But, these two characters are the face of the franchise. For them, involvement is extremely important and that’s why whatever happens in the future of Boruto must involve them too. Because of this reason, Konoha must have its Seventh Hokage back,as well as the Other Hokage. But, when they do return, they need to be competent once again, and not be pushed around by the likes of Code, especially when Boruto and Kawaki are as strong as they are.

When Sasuke does return, he will have to get stronger, one way or another. Right now, Sasuke is very powerful and there is no denying the fact. In fact, the Boruto timeskip seems to have strengthened him to a point where he can take Code’s eye in battle, which is a massive feat indeed. But, it’s not enough. For Sasuke to be competent, he needs his Rinnegan back and while that may be deemed impossible by many, there is actually a way it can be turned into reality. Shinjutsu, in the world of Boruto, can do anything. It’s a godly power that can alter reality and create new realities. Perhaps, Shinjutsu can come to Sasuke’s rescue through the character of Ada and her Omnipotenceand grant him his Rinneganback once she does gain full control over this power.
Can Sasuke Reawaken The Rinnegan?
Sasuke Should Have The Ability To Regain This Power
Even if Ada doesn’tgive Sasuke the Rinnegan, his right eye should have the potential to turn into the Rinnegan. Sasuke has the chakra of Indra Otsutsuki in him. At the same time, the Sage of Six Paths gave him a portion of his powers, which led to him awakening the Rinnegan in his left eye. There is no reason for Sasuke to not be able to manifest a Rinnegan in his right eye. If the eye doesn’t awaken on its own, perhaps Naruto can help with that. After all, Naruto Uzumaki has the power of Asura Otsutsuki, which means that he should be able to share his chakra with Sasuke and help him get a strong Rinnegan in his other eye.
Of course, at the end of the day, all this is up to the author. If he wants Sasuke to be on the sidelines, then he absolutely won’t get any big chances to shine in theTwo Blue Vortexmanga. However, what can be said for sure is that despite everything,Sasuke Uchiha does have ways to get strongerin Boruto and regain the Rinnegan. It all rests on which way the author wants the story to go.
