There’s probably one big reason players want to check out the latest game in this series: the kills.Sniper Elite: Resistanceand the rest of the franchise are known for offering players a lot of opportunities to kill Nazis in some of the most brutal ways possible. It’s the more visceral version of the Hitman franchise which definitely favors stealth and espionage over exploding skulls in a bloody fashion.
The game’s hero, Harry Hawker, is not playing dress-up to take Nazis down in thisWorld War 2-era game, that’s for sure. Players are going to have a blast inSniper Elite: Resistanceas they mow down Nazis one by one. So, let’s go through some creative ways to take them all down.
7A Stab In The Face

Being stabbed in the back is a mercy kill in a stealth game. The truly horrifying version is being stabbed in the front. InSniper Elite: Resistance, players can get really grim by stabbing an enemy right in the face and see blood, tissue, and teeth explode out.
It’s visceral in every sense of the word but our hero, Harry, doesn’t seem phased at all. After all,these are the Nazisand they deserve every cruel punishment available so he shouldn’t feel guilty and neither should players.
6The Old Sabotage And Explode Trick

The point ofSniper Elite: Resistanceis to beas stealthy as possible. Sometimes a good distraction is necessary though even if it will be loud. For example, players can sabotage a car which will have enemies flock to the scene in a hurry.
Players could then detonate the car with an explosive or rocket launcher and cause a heated pileup of bodies. Luring an enemy or several toward a red barrel and then exploding it would be gruesome too.
5Stepping On Mine
Defend Your Area
Being exploded because of a red barrel or a sabotaged car is one thing. Enemies could chalk that up to being an accident or the fault of the attacker. However, stepping on a mine is solely the fault of the victim, especially during times of war.
Players can set traps around their sniper nest to protect against trespassers from snooping around. Placing mines is one idea and their explosive damage does wonders to a Nazi’s foot. The physics of their bodies is quite hilarious as they fly away to parts unknown. Booby trapping a body is a close second to a mine placement.

Sniper Elitemade a name for itself, not by being the best World War 2 series ever, nor by being the best stealth game. Instead, it grew in popularity because of how brutal the kills could get. The most classic way to kill an enemy in the series is a good clean shot to the head.
No matter where players aim inSniper Elite: Resistancespecifically, the headshot will be different upon X-ray vision every time from brain splatters to teeth ricocheting off of each other. It’s as gruesome as it gets andMortal Kombatis the only other seriesthat comes close to offering wild variations in kills.
3Dropping Bodies Into Falls

It’s impossible to playSniper Elite: Resistanceas a total pacifist and again, it’s not like the Nazis are innocent bystanders. Not killing everyone inaHitmanlevelmakes sense as a florist doesn’t need to die just to get their outfit.
Still, players can incapacitate enemies inSniper Elite: Resistanceif they want but then be extra cruel and kill them anyway. Possibly the worst version of this, from an enemy’s perspective, is to pass out, then wake up as they are falling to their death. In the first mission, players can toss enemies into the dam’s falls and that’s just a serial killer’s way of dealing with problems.

The other type of sniper shot is a bit sillier and funny every time players can score it. Players can aim in between an enemy’s legs and pick off a shot to the groin. There are even bonuses for it and Harry has some witty remarks too.
That’s one of the reasons whyheadphones are recommendedfor both console and PC players as this Jason Statham wannabe can be pretty funny after successful kills. A shot to the groin wouldn’t realistically kill someone in real life, but it’s hilarious and brutal inSniper Elite: Resistanceeither way.

This one isn’t so much gruesome as it is impressive. If players line up their shot correctly be it froma sniper rifleor a pistol, they can have their bullets pierce through two bodies. They’ll get bonus EXP for achieving this goal along with the self-satisfaction that comes along with pulling something like this off.
It just goes to show that safety in numbers isn’t always the correct way of thinking. One never knows when some deranged sniper is nearby lining up a shot but in the case ofSniper Elite: Resistance, it’s a good thing.
