Earlier in the week,Treyarch teased a big 115 Day announcement, which likely caught the attention of longtime Zombies fans. For those who don’t know, the number “115” is commonly found throughoutCall of Duty: Zombiesfranchise, including the name of Element-115 which started the outbreak, to various other Easter eggs. In celebration, Treyarch had no shortage of announcements to share with the community.

Before getting to the Zombie specific news, Treyarch’s blog post gave all players a bit of good news. Starting on January 15, allCall of Duty: Black Ops 6players can take part in a special Quad Feed Double XP event until January 21 at 10am PT. This means double experience earned for player account progression, all weapons, Battle Pass, and GobbleGum earn rate. The XP boost should come in handy for players to wrap things up beforeBlack Ops 6releases season 2later this month.

Alongside the XP Boost announcement, Treyarch also took the opportunity to showcase and celebrate the Zombies community through art, cosplay, and more. The blog also teased out some upcoming Quality of Life changes happening when Season 2 launches, stats for Zombies Directed Mode, as well as giving fans a look at a brand newCall of Duty: Black Ops 6Zombies map called The Tomb.

While there has been plenty of bright spots, Black Ops 6 has also seen its fair share of challenging moments as well. While hacking and cheating continues to be a problem for online matches, Black Ops 6 has seen its fair share of bugs, controversies, disappointing limited time events, and other features that have largely frustrated fans. In fact, the issues have gotten so bad thatBlack Ops 6has lost a good chunk of its player base, with some platforms like Steam losing nearly half since the game’s launch in October 2024. With Season 2 on the horizon, players are hoping things can be turned around.
