Summary
After plenty of noise from the community, Treyarch might be making a major change to one ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 6’s most controversial cosmetics. The unicorn fart finisher was first added toBlack Ops 6a few weeks ago, but it could be about to get an overhaul.
WhenBlack Ops 6was first released, skins did not carry over from the previousCall of Dutygame. This offered hope to fans thatBlack Ops 6might take a more grounded approach to cosmetics, after the increasingly wacky offerings in recent releases. Despiteplayers complaining about unrealistic Operator skins inBlack Ops 6, Treyarch quickly followed the same path as other titles, with cosmetics that look like they were pulled from other universes. With the crossover cosmetics, they often are. Ultimately, while controversial among some players, they wouldn’t exist if they weren’t popular.

According to CharlieINTEL, theBlack Ops 6’s controversial unicorn fart finisher may be about to completely change. After theBlack Ops 6xSquid Gameupdate, the unicorn fart cosmetic still plays in matches, but its preview in the in-game store has been changed to a completely different animation. The new animation shows the unicorn kicking the enemy into the player’s arms, and then charging it with its horn. It’s no less immersion-breaking, but it’s definitely a little less crude. It’s unclear at the moment if or when Treyarch will completely switch the animations, but it certainly seems like a possibility.
Black Ops 6’s Unicorn Fart Finisher May Be Getting Changed
TheBlack Ops 6unicorn fart finisher was first added to the gamea few weeks ago. If Treyarch makes the change from the store preview permanent in-game, then it won’t have taken long for the studio to reverse course on this one. Overall,Black Ops 6fans accept a lot of crazy cosmetics, but it’s understandable if some felt like this was well and truly jumping the shark.
While the unicorn finisher might be changing, that doesn’t mean the wacky cosmetics are going anywhere. Just recently, aCall of Dutydev explained why the series won’t stop releasing weird skins, pointing out that the series prefers to prioritize fun over realism. With theSquid Gamecollaboration now released, the wait has started to see what Treyarch might have in store when Season 1 Reloaded finishes and Season 2 begins, although no date has been confirmed for this as of yet.
