Call of Duty: Black Ops 6has officially kicked off its first Double XP weekend for Season 2, but fans have been left disappointed after discovering that there is no Double Battle Pass XP included in the event. From now until February 10,Call of Dutyfans yet to take the plunge onBlack Ops 6can check out the free trial on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The free weekend will give players access to 10 multiplayer maps, including fan favorites such as Nuketown and Stakeout, as well as 5 modes and 2 Zombies maps, one of which is the recently released The Tomb. With plenty of Season 2 maps included in the trial, as well as the new Overdrive mode, now is the perfect chance to check out all of the latestBlack Ops 6content before making the full purchase.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Want Double Battle Pass XP Too
ThelatestCall of DutyDouble XP weekendis officially live, but much to the dismay of players, developer Treyarch Studios hasn’t activated Double Battle Pass XP for this particular weekend. Instead, players can earn Double Gobblegums in Zombies as well as Double Level XP and Double Weapon XP. The lack of Double Battle Pass XP seems to have angered some players, as a new post on Reddit with hundreds of upvotes has blasted the decision to leave it out. Reddit user Masonalex66 says they “hate” when Treyarch does a Double XP weekend but leaves out Double Battle Pass XP. Fellow users seem to agree, asDominjo555says they “don’t need” weapon or level XP and that they simply need Battle Pass XP, so the current event “is a no” for them.
WithSeason 2 ofBlack Ops 6only being live for a little over a week, many fans are eager to work their way through the new Battle Pass and unlock all of the rewards up for grabs. Similar to past seasons ofCall of Duty, Season 2’s Battle Pass includes a wide variety of cosmetic items and consumables. From Double XP Tokens and weapon blueprints right up to new operator skins, a full weekend of Double Battle Pass XP would have been the perfect opportunity for players to work their way through the pass.
Unfortunately,Black Ops 6’sDouble XP event is being severely affected by theongoing PlayStation Network outage. Although Xbox and PC users can continue playing as normal, PlayStation users are currently out of action as PlayStation’s servers have been offline for well over 13 hours now. The sudden downtime has made a plethora of multiplayer titles unavailable, includingBlack Ops 6. Thankfully, Sony has taken to social media to address the outage and says it is “working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.” Whether or not Treyarch will extend the Double XP weekend due to PlayStation users being unable to play remains unclear.
