Call of Duty Update Fixes Blue Screen Error on PC

Following the February 3 update, fans quickly began reporting that the PC version ofCall of Dutywas experiencing a serious bug resulting in a blue screen error. It’s unclear what was causing the game to blue screen, but many players were being forced to restart their PCs halfway through a multiplayer match because of the error. Now, in a new post on the COD Updates Twitter account, Activision has confirmed that the issue has been fixed on both Steam and Battle.net. For players on the Microsoft Store, the same update will be deployed on February 5, but an exact release time remains unclear.
While a fix forCall of Duty’s blue screen error was deployed promptly, there are various other issues plaguing the game right now that fans aren’t happy about. One of the most recent issues was spotted by a user on Reddit, who noticed that a new Season 2 multiplayer map is causing someBlack Ops 6players' frames per second to drop rather drastically. The player discovered that breaking all of the glass panes on the map Bounty would tank their frames per second from almost 200 right down to just 60. Others reported a similar issue and called for Treyarch Studios to release a fix as soon as possible.
It’s not justBlack Ops 6players encountering performance issues either. Prior to the launch of the game’s latest season, Activision released a lengthy community update and revealed thatWarzonewould have less content than originally anticipated for Season 2. The studio explained that it would be prioritizing gameplay tuning, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements throughout the season, as opposed to new content. As such, the launch of Season 2 meant thatWarzoneplayers only had new Ranked Play rewards and a new perk to check out.
