Warzonehas evolved drastically since its launch in 2020, with each new mainlineCall of Dutytitle being fully integrated with the Battle Royale, bringing a wide array of new content, weapons, gameplay adjustments, features, and more. The most recent integration occurred back in November when the veryfirst season ofBlack Ops 6was released. The massive Season 1 update brought Treyarch’s brand-new omnidirectional movement system, plenty of new features, weapons, and more toWarzone. Unfortunately, the integration was incredibly divisive, with things only getting worse and worse for the title in the weeks after.

One of the biggest issues currentlyplaguingWarzoneis hackers and cheatersin the game’s Ranked Play mode, as well as a wide variety of bugs and glitches. As such, Activision has released a massiveblog postoutlining all of the improvements it intends to make to bothBlack Ops 6andWarzonewith the launch of Season 2. Toward the end of the post, the studio said it has made the decision to prioritize its focus on gameplay tuning, adding more quality-of-life improvements, and addressing ongoing bugs. The studio explained that these fixes and improvements will be staggered across the duration of Season 2 with “quite a few” quality-of-life changes coming in the mid-season update, which usually drops one month after the season begins. As for what those quality-of-life improvements will be, there will be major improvements to weapons, such as faster reload speeds, increased movement speeds for specific actions, audio improvements, perk adjustments, and much more.
Call of Dutyplayers can also anticipate plenty of new maps, modes, and rewards coming inSeason 2 ofBlack Ops 6. While the studio has yet to reveal any specific details on the new content for multiplayer, there are also “several gameplay updates, quality of life improvements, playlist changes, and notable bug fixes” coming at the launch of Season 2.
