Less than two weeks ahead of its launch,Civilization 7has officially revealed the game’s roadmap for its post-release DLC content, with plenty more on the way. The series has seen six main-series entries alongside multiple spinoffs on different platforms, with its seventh numbered game on the way. Now, Firaxis Games and 2K are giving fans a sneak peek at what’s to come following the new game’s release.
Firaxis has already given fans plenty to look forward to ahead ofCivilization 7’s launch, teasing plenty of new changes coming with the seventh entry.Civilization 7will introduce a massive change to the franchise’s typical “eras” structure, now dividing the game into three distinct segments with Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern ages. The game will also make several changes to its core units, while introducing new units like Commanders and changing how the game handles Production facilities like Farms and Mines.Civilization 7is now teasing fans with what’s to come after its launch.

As reported by ComicBook, an official content roadmap from a recent “Dev Diary” post by Firaxis Games is showing off a plethora of DLC content in the coming months forCivilization 7. The first months of the game will be filled with tons to do beyond the base game, withthe “Crossroads of the World” expansionin March adding two new leaders, new civilizations, and natural wonders. April through September will also feature the debut of the “Right to Rule” expansion, adding more rulers and Civs to the game. Firaxis even teased “more content to come” beyond October as well.

Alongside thepaid expansions coming forCivilization 7throughout the spring and summer of 2025, Firaxis has plenty of content coming for free for players. The roadmap teases two new events coming as free content to the game, with the “Natural Wonder Battle” and “Marvelous Mountains” events teased. March will also see two new Natural Wonders added to the game, with players able to find both Mt. Everest and the Bermuda Triangle within the in-game world. More free content is also expected to be released throughout the year.

Firaxis has shown off a plethora of leaders players will be able to control withinCivilization 7, includingnew roster members like Harriet Tubman.
