Every time a new evolution card gets released, the meta inClash Royaleshifts drastically. The last card to receive the evo treatment was the Giant Snowball, and yes, it was good for a time, but the players quickly learned to play around it. These days, apart from some X-Bowor Goblin Giant decks, you won’t see many people using the Evo Giant Snowball.

However, with the Evo Dart Goblin, things are different. It’s a cheap cycle card that goes well in all sorts of decks. And while the Evo effect takes a bit of time to ramp up, in some situations, Evo Dart Goblin can significantly boost your offensive and defensive power in the game. In this guide, we’ll take a look at some of the best Evo Dart Goblin you’ll want to try out if you’re having a hard time fitting this card into your decks.

Clash Royale Evo Dart Goblin Overview

The Evo Dart Goblin arrived at theClash Royalearenawith its own draft event, and if you’ve played through it, you should already have a decent idea of how it works. For those who don’t know, the Evo Dart Goblin has stats identical to the normal variant but has a secondary Evo effect on its attacks.

Each shot fired by the Evo Dart Goblin adds a stack of poison to the target. The stacks build up with each shot, allowing the target to take additional poison damage. On top of that, the shots also leave a trail of poison around the target that deals area damage to any troops or buildings around it.

The poison also follows the target and leaves a damaging trail on the ground behind it that lasts for four seconds. If the target dies, the poison puddle stays on the field for the same duration. If the Evo Dart Goblin isn’t taken off the field, it can easily defendan entire Pekka Bridge Spampush on its own.

The poison effect from the Evo Dart Goblin creates a purple aura around the target. After a certain number of hits, the aura turns red, increasing the damage of the poison effect exponentially.

Then again, the Evo Dart Goblin still has one major weakness. All your opponent needs is one Arrows or The Log to take it off the field. But since the card only costs three elixirs and the evo cycle is also only two, you’re able to get a lot of value out of this card if you’re smart with how you use it.

You’ll find more information about these decks below.

2.3 Log Bait

The 2.3 Log Bait variant is one of the quickest version of Log Bait out there. It uses the Mighty Miner and not one but two Spirits to keep things moving quickly. On top of the Evo Goblin Barrel, which is your main win condition, you’ll also have the Wall Breakers to fall back on if you’re having trouble getting damage to the enemy tower.

It’s important to remember that the Evo Dart Goblin’s poison darts also linger on the enemy tower, and the damage can stack up if you manage to get in a couple of hits. That means you’ll be able to apply a lot of pressure on the opponent if you manage to outcycle their key defenses.

Of course, this deck also has one major weakness. Since the deck doesn’t use a single spell card, you’ll have a tough time getting tower damage if your opponent has a lot of swarm counters. Then again, since the deck has such a low average elixir cost, playing around their counters and gaining an elixir lead shouldn’t be too difficult for most players.

This deck uses the Dagger Duchess Tower Troop.

Goblin Drill Wall Breakers

Goblin Drill decks have become extremely popular these daysamong cycle deck fansbecause of their quick and aggressive playstyle. But most Goblin Drill decks don’t use the Evo Dart Goblin. This one, however, works well with the Evo Dart Goblin, offering you more firepower and spam potential to constantly keep your opponent on their toes.

Goblin Drill

The evolution combo of Wall Breakers and Dart Goblin gives you multiple ways to apply pressure on the opponent’s tower. They also give you plenty of outplay potential. With the Wall Breakers, you’re able to pull back and distract slow opponent troops. The Dart Goblin, on the other hand, can often snipe the opponent’s troops from the other end of the field, giving you amazing value.

Ideally, you’ll want to target the opposite lane with this deck. Unlike the Goblin Drill Poison cycle deck, you don’t have any spell cards that trickle down the enemy tower. By going on the opposite lane, your opponent won’t be able to build up a counter push anytime you decide to attack.

This deck is all about offense over defense. Even though you have a defensive building in the deck, all of your cards are spam troops. The Bandit and Royal Ghost can serve as a decent mini-tank, but the way to win with this deck is to keep up the attack, force your opponent to make a mistake and punish them for it.

This deck uses the Tower Princess Tower Troop.

Mortar Miner Recruits

MostClash Royalefans would agree that Royal Recruits are themost annoying evolution cardsto defend against. The level of split lane pressure that comes with this one card is insane. And now that you’ve also got the Evo Dart Goblin in the mix, you’ll have pretty much all you need to make your opponent give up halfway into the game.

Skeleton King

While most Recruits decks inClash Royaleuse Royal Piggies as its win condition, this one does things a bit differently. In this deck, you’ll be using the Mortar as your primary win conditionwhile the legendary card, Miner, takes on the role of your secondary win condition. You’ll also be able to activate the champion cycle with the Skeleton King, allowing you to cycle through your deck and get to your Evo cards faster.

The deck has a pretty straightforward playstyle. You’ll almost always start with the Royal Recruits at the back when you’re thinking of going on the offensive. As the Recruits reach the bridge, place a Mortar down to target one of the lanes. UseSkeleton King on the other laneand send in the Miner to take out key defensive structures.

The Evo Dart Goblin takes on a defensive role, and you’ll always want to cycle it when your opponent is building up an attack. If your opponent uses The Log or Arrows to defend against your Goblin Gang or Minions, you can place a mini tank like the Skeleton King in front of your Dart Goblin to apply additional pressure.

This deck uses the Cannoneer Tower Troop.

The Evo Dart Goblin has already proven to be a unique addition toClash Royalewith its impressive damage output and outplay potential. Feel free to try out these decks and see how they work for you. But it’s also important to experiment with your own unique card combinations tobuild a deck that’s perfectfor your playstyle.
