Diablo 4players will have the chance to get the new Trag’Oul’s Consort mount in the upcoming Lunar Awakening event. The celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year starts on February 4, and for the second time will giveDiablo 4players a chance to acquire new cosmetics.
The first edition of the Lunar New Year event was in 2024 duringDiablo 4’s Season of the Construct. During this period, players received a 50% XP and 30% movement speed bonus when activating Lunar Shrines, and enjoyed an extra 10% Glyph XP when completing Nightmare Dungeons with Ancestors Favor Affix activated. Additionally, players could earn six cosmetic rewards and get Lunar New Year-themed sets.
Blizzard has announced the return of the Lunar Awakening, which will begin on February 4 at 10 am PST and end on February 18 at 10 am PST. Players inDiablo 4’s Eternal and Seasonal realmscan join the event by activating Lunar Shrines scattered around Sanctuary, which have the form of a snake to celebrate the 2025 Chinese Lunar New Year. By activating them, they will give 100% XP for two minutes, an effect like summoning a holy bomb, and will have a chance of attracting Misery Spirits. Players will also be able to earn Ancestral Favor Reputation by defeating monsters in dungeons or in the wilderness, exchanging for themed rewards in the Lunar Night Market.
Diablo 4 Lunar New Year Event Includes New Mount
This year’s edition of Lunar Awakening has 10 levels of Ancestral Favor Reputation to unlock, obtaining six cosmetics. One is Trag’Oul’s Consort, a newDiablo 4mountwith red accessories in its mane and intricate golden patterns on its body. The other rewards will be Lunar Scepter, Dragon’s Courage, Moonshot Bow, Dragon’s Tapestry, and Moon’s Bounty. Additionally, Lunar Awakening-themed gear will be available in the Tejal Shop; some of these include the Scholar of the Lonely Moon for the Sorcerer and the Dragon of the Lonely Moon mount armor.
The Lunar Awakening is another activity to keep players engaged during the seventh season. Starting on January 21, the Season of Witchcraft’s main feature is theaddition of new witchcraft powers toDiablo 4, giving players abilities such as summoning explosive toads. There are 25 new sorcery powers, from which players can choose six to equip their characters. Other features of the current season include the addition of new Headrotten enemies, eight new Unique items and Legendary Affixes, new runes, and updates to existing ones.
