Disney Dreamlight Valleycurrently has a character roster of forty-seven unique villagers. While some of these characters are from the same film or franchise,Disney Dreamlight Valley’s character roster is vast and receiving consistent additions. With at least three more characters teased for the game’s base game, and two confirmed to be added in Summer 2025 during the second half of the Storybook Vale DLC, 2025 will certainly add plenty of great characters toDisney Dreamlight Valley.
Yet one specific type of character is underrepresented in the hit Disney simulation game. Heroes, villains, and heroic sidekickshave all made it intoDisney Dreamlight Valley. But one specific character role deserves to finally have its time in the spotlight andDisney Dreamlight Valleycould be the perfect outlet.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Has Welcomed Villains, But What About their Sidekicks?
Disney Dreamlight Valleyis in a unique position, in which it gives players the chance to redeem iconic Disney and Pixar villains. Other types of content associated with Walt Disney Animation andPixar Studios tend to shy away from redeemable villains, though both companies have attempted to make redeemable and twist villains over the past few decades. Nevertheless, because of players’ one-on-one connection with these villainous characters, villains have been given a much more sympathetic treatment inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
But characters that could be even more sympathetic and relatable than the villains themselves are their sidekicks. Plenty of iconic villains have had sidekicks in moviesfrom Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Studios, including villains already included inDisney Dreamlight Valley. Surprisingly, no bumbling sidekicks have made their way into the simulation game, but there is a precedent for their inclusion.
A few heroic sidekicks are includedinDisney Dreamlight Valley, including Mushu, Timon and Pumbaa, and Olaf. All of these characters have their associated protagonists in the game as well: Mulan, Simba, and Anna and Elsa. While each of these villagers have their own important stand-alone missions to increase their Friendship, lots of their dialogue and interactions involve other villagers from their franchise.
These Sidekicks Should Join Disney Dreamlight Valley
With this reliance on the protagonists of their respective films, it would make sense for any villainous sidekicks that are added toDisney Dreamlight Valleyto join after the villain that they serve. Despite its mighty character roster,Disney Dreamlight Valleycurrently only has six villains in the game, withMaleficent confirmed to be joining the game in Summer 2025. Of these villains, only three of them are part of the base game.
While not all ofDisney Dreamlight Valley’s villains have sidekicks, several of them have memorable henchmen who would be great additions to the game’s character roster.Disney Dreamlight Valley’slatest villainous addition, Hades, could lead to his monstrous henchmen Pain and Panic to join the game. There are also a significant number of villainous animal sidekicks that could join the game, like Jafar’s parrot Iago, Ursula’s eels Flotsam and Jetsam, and the three hyenas that assist Scar - Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed.
But the best villainous sidekick addition out ofDisney Dreamlight Valley’s current roster of villains is LeFou. Gaston’s assistant and favorite punching bag, LeFou, is the only memorable human sidekick out ofDisney Dreamlight Valley’s available villains. Thebest part of Gaston’s adaptationin the game is the constant references to his ego. Perhaps LeFou could balance out this Gaston as part of his Friendship Missions, once again redeeming both characters the wayDisney Dreamlight Valleyloves to do. With more villains slated to joinDisney Dreamlight Valley, it only seems fair that the characters helping them with their nefarious plans get their own slots too.
