Now thatGoku and the Z Fightershave moved on to the First Demon World inDragon Ball Daima, it’s time to discuss the Second Demon World. On their journey to challenge the Demon Realm’s three Tamagami and obtain the Dragon Balls, Goku and the others travel through the Second Demon World and witness both its beauty and harshness.

Overall, Goku’s group only stayed in the Second Demon World for five episodes, from 10 to 14. They explored a good bit of it, but hopefully,Daima, or maybeevenDragon Ball Super, will explore this part of the Demon Realm some more in the future.

Features Unique To The Second Demon World

Lush Greenery and Oceans

As of episode 15, it seems that the Second Demon World is the most beautiful and peaceful of the three. The Third Demon Worldhas heavy air, which restricts movement, and the First Demon World seems to have uncomfortably high temperatures. Both worlds also seem to have large swaths of desert, unlike the Second Demon World, which looks to be dotted with islands with tons of greenery and large oceans. Even the residents of the Second Demon Realm are mostly peaceful, while the Third Demon World is riddled with thugs and bandits, and the First Demon World is the center ofthe Demon King’s oppressive rule. However, just because it’s peaceful, doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its fair share of dangers. It’s just that the threats in the Second Demon Realm lean more toward natural dangers rather than people actively trying to harm you.

The biggest threats are the Krakens that roam the Second Demon World’s oceans. These giant tentacled beasts will attack and attempt to eat anything that comes close to the ocean surface. They’re not just ordinary animals that you’re able to fend off with weapons either, as even Goku claimed he couldn’t beat them inDragon Ball Daimaepisode 10, “Ocean”. Imagine being attacked by a wild animal that even powerful Saiyans couldn’t defeat. Unless you’re on a fast enough ship to escape, you’re pretty much doomed.

The Second Demon World’s Borders

Since it’s sandwiched between the First and Third Demon Worlds, the Second Demon World is the only Demon World that has aphysical entrance to both worlds. The entrance to the Third Demon World is located in the Second Demon World’s “ceiling”, while the entrance to the First is on the ground. These entrances were sealed with magical barriers a long time ago by the Namekian Neva, but they were unsealed inDragon Ball Daimaepisode 14, “Taboo”, when Neva found out Warp-sama had been shut down.

Another unique feature of the Second Demon World is its Majilite supply, commonly found near the border between it and the Third Demon World. Majilite isa natural mineral formedwhen acidic water seeps into the Second Demon World from the Third. It’s special because it apparently continually produces energy for up to 30 years and is used to power the various planes or spaceships of the Demon Realm. The reason Bulma couldn’t repair the Demon Realm ship the Supreme Kai Shin and Kibito provided is that she didn’t have access to the Majilite needed to power it.

Known Planets In The Second Demon World

The Original Namek

Dragon Ball Daimarevealed thatthe Namekian race actually originatedin the Demon Realm. Their original homeworld, also named Namek, can be found in the Second Demon World, which Goku and the others visited in episode 10 after surviving a Kraken attack. The planet looks exactly the same as the Namek from the Frieza Saga. Shin theorized that the Namekians took some of the trees with them when they left to plant on whatever planet they settled on. So, presumably, Universe 6’s Namek also looks like this. However, the Second Demon World’s Planet Namek is mostly abandoned, as Neva is the last remaining Namekian in the Demon Realm.Piccolo’s here now, buthis visit is obviously only temporary.

Planet Mega, Home of the Megaths

According to Shin and Neva, theMegaths are the second-strongestnative beings in the Demon Realm, making Planet Mega extremely dangerous. Even the Demon King and his Gendarmerie army refuse to set foot on Mega, choosing to leave the Megaths alone and free from the Demon King’s rule. These behemoths are stronger than Krakens and even hunt them for food, which should give you an idea of how terrifying they can be.

Somewhere out there is the planet Giga, home of the Gigaths, who are even bigger and stronger than the Megaths. However, no one’s ever mentioned which Demon World planet Giga is on.

Dragon Ball Daima - Glind Tree’s

The Glind Home Planet

Although Goku and the rest of the gang didn’t go there, they did mention that Shin’s homeworld is somewhere in the Second Demon World. The Glind home planet hasn’t been named yet, but what’s known is that the Glind Trees thatgive birth to the Glindhave all died. Many Glind also left when Rymus created the universes outside the Demon Realm, so it’s unknown if there are even any Glind currently living on their original planet. A couple of Glind did stay behind, like Degesu and Arinsu, but both of them currently live in the First Demon World’s palace.

“We Glinds are born from five Glind Trees. But all of the trees died. With no reason to stay here, it led to our emigration to the universes.” - Shin explaining Glind history
