There are about a hundred bosses inElden Ringand around 40 in theShadow of the ErdtreeDLC – for the most part, these are all optional bosses.Elden Ringplayers onlytechnically need to defeat ten bossesto beat the game, and five to beat the DLC.
But there are plenty of good reasons to chase down allElden Ringside bosses. In addition to unlocking new areas, progressing quests, and getting Runes, these bosses oftendrop unique equipment and itemsyou can’t get anywhere else.
