TheNintendo Switch 2is around the corner, and eager fans won’t need to wait for it much longer, as it has been officially revealed and will be getting a dedicated Direct event on April 2. Rumored to have been held back to ensure a strong launch lineup, the successor to theNintendo Switchcould be pulling out all the stops to fill the massive shoes left for it. The first Switch console just passed the 35 million sales mark in Japan alone, and has shipped over 146 million units worldwide as of September 2024. Whether a new Nintendo console can even match those numbers is unknown, but the Switch 2 is surely going to try.

Abundant leaks have granted early insight into how it will do that, claiming the Switch 2 will have a hefty performance boost. The only feature Nintendo was willing to talk about before its reveal was theSwitch 2’s backwards compatibilitywith its predecessor, which could help many Switch games’ unstable performance. However, fans are most interested in hearing about the console’s new games, and there are plenty of third-party titles already rumored for the Nintendo Switch 2.

The Most Recent Round of Credible Switch 2 Game Leaks

2025 is already rife with Switch 2 leaks, but some sources are more reliable than others. Podcaster and long-time industry insider Nate the Hate is one, and he has predicted many third-party titles coming to it over the next couple of years. Windows Central executive editor Jez Corden also chimed in to corroborate the Xbox ports, and add a few more.

While a few of these titles are couched in speculation, Nate and Jez’s main claims are that Microsoft and Ubisoft are trying to bring their recent games to the Switch 2 ASAP. Even if theSwitch 2 can’t support 4K and performance updatesfor some of these games, it may be the best place to play them.

Every Other Third-Party Nintendo Switch 2 Game Rumor

Those are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes toleaked third-party Switch 2 titles, though the rest come from a variety of sources. Claims by Universo Nintendo’s editor-in-chief “Necro” Felipe Lima, known Atlus and Sega insider Midori, and noted leaker Nash Weedle have more weight behind them, but everything here should be taken with a grain of salt.

The inclusion of acclaimedopen-world games likeGTA6andRed Dead 2are some of the bigger head-turning system sellers listed, but there’s a lot of variety here. Only time will tell which of these games will hit theNintendo Switch 2, but even if it’s just a fraction of them, the portable console should have plenty to offer.
