There’s a lot that players need to keep in mind when it comes to surviving the ruins of Appalachia.
From radiation to disease, addiction to traps, there are dangers around every corner. Knowing what the most dangerous enemies are can help to give players an edge when going into battle. This article will go over some of the most dangerous creatures in the game.
10Super Mutant Behemoth
These Enemies Are Dangerous For New Players
Super Mutant Behemoths aren’t particularly dangerous for high-level players. However, for new players, these enemies can be deadly. They can move pretty fast, closing the distance between themselves and their prey very quickly. Not only that, but their melee attacks can be very devastating, especially if the player doesn’t have a decent set of armor.
While these creatures are weak when compared to most of the other entries on this list,they are definitely a challenge to take down for new players.
9Fog Crawlers
Fast-Moving, Hard-Hitting, And Tanky
Fog Crawlers come in a variety of different types. While the standard Fog Crawler can be a challenging foe,Glowing Fog Crawlers and Skulking Fog Crawlers are considerably more difficult to take down.These creatures spawn during events such as Moonshine Jamboree and Spin The Wheel. They also spawn during the limited-time event, Primal Cuts.
These creatures have plenty of health, can cut through a player’s armor with ease, and they move pretty fast. The best thing to do is to hop up and out of the way and then fire down on them from above.
8Mirelurk King
Surprisingly Powerful Attacks
Mirelurk Kings have been in severalFalloutgames. And while they have always been somewhat tanky, inFallout 76,they are stronger than ever before.From their sonic pulse attacks to their armor-piercing melee hits, these creatures can prove to be a challenging fight.
It’s quite rare to find a lone Mirelurk King. Instead, they are typically found in a group of otherMirelurk Kings, Mirelurks, and even the occasional Mirelurk Queen. Be sure to bring a lot of bullets when attempting to take down these creatures.
7Radscorpion
Beware Of These Oversized Scorpions
Radscorpions come in various forms.While a standard Radscorpion can be a tough fight for low-level players, a Deathskull Radscorpion can even give high-level players a run for their money.
These creatures are relentless. They are able to dig underground and then hop up and surprise their intended target. They also can follow the player for a pretty long time. This makes it pretty challenging to run away from these overgrown insects. They are also pretty thick-skinned, so the player will need to pump them full of bullets in order to take them down.
6The Strangler Heart Grafton Monster & Strangler Mirelurk Queen
Tougher Variants Of Tough Enemies
At the end of Heart Of The Swamp, players will need to kill either a Strangler Grafton Monster or a Strangler Mirelurk Queen. Both of these enemies are incredibly tough.While the standard versions of these enemies can be challenging, the Strangler variants are twice as difficult to take down.They are stronger, they hit harder, and they are protected by endless waves of Strangler enemies such as Mirelurks and Ghouls.
While the fight is challenging, it can be rather rewarding. There is a very small chance for players toreceive a piece of ultra-rare apparelfor completing this event. While the chance is very slim, a slim chance is better than no chance.
5The Imposter Sheepsquatch - And The Sheepsquatch
A Powerful Robot With Devastating Attacks
In order to trigger Encrypted, the player will need to complete a rather interesting questline that starts with Lying Lowe and ends with Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing. Upon finishing this questline, the player will be able to craft an Assaultron Recall Keycard and launch this event.
The event itself is simple; kill an Imposter Sheepsquatch.However, this particular enemy is one of the toughest enemies in the game.It has the power of both invisibility and invincibility. Players will need to activate three pylons before they can attack the Imposter Sheepsquatch. This enemy also has the ability to kill players almost instantly with a devastating laser attack. There is also a regular Sheepsquatch that can be found randomly across the map. While they aren’t anywhere near as tough as the Impostor Sheepsquatch, they are still pretty powerful enemies.
A Rare Encounter
These creatures are elusive.There are only a couple of places that can potentiallyspawn a Wendigo Colossus.One is near the Hornwright Estate and the other is close to the Scorched Earth event. Unfortunately, players will need to launch a nuke over these areas to have a chance at spawning one of these enemies.
There is only a small chance that a Wendigo Colossus will spawn within one of the nuked locations mentioned above, so it can take quite a long time to find one. However, should the player come across one, they should be careful because these creatures are incredibly powerful.
3Scorchbeasts
Huge Flying Beasts With Super Sonic Attacks
Scorchbeasts recently got nerfed, making them slightly more manageable. However, even with this recent nerf,Scorchbeasts can be challenging, especially for newer players.
These creatures fly, they have both a melee attack and a sonic pulse attack, and they can summon endless waves of Scorched enemies. Luckily, for the most part, it’s easy to avoid these creatures. For those who don’t want to go toe-to-toe with a Scorchbeast, simply avoid Fissure Sites to reduce the chances of accidentally bumping into one.
2Everything Inside Raids
Fallout 76’s Newest Challenge
Raids are a new feature that is aimed at veteran players.Completing a Raid from start to finishrequires a team of expert players, thousands of bullets, and a considerable amount of luck.These missions are not for new players.
From the EN06 Guardian to the Ultracite Terror, everything inside the Gleaming Depths is powerful. While the enemies are challenging, the rewards are great. Players who complete any part of a Raid can expect to be rewarded with some new and unique items.

While each enemy is different, they do share one thing in common; they are incredibly tough to kill. Thankfully, nuked events tend to be quite popular. More often than not, most players on a given server will fast-travel over to join nuked events.
