Falloutis an adaptation of Bethesda’s popular open-world RPG game series. The story takes place in post-apocalyptic cities around the world that were ruined by nuclear bombs, causing society to degrade into different communities that spread vault-dwellers, the Brotherhood of Steel, and the ghouls. Rather than adapting any singleFalloutgame, Prime Video’s series takes elements from all of them to tell a new story in the familiar gaming world with new characters played by Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, and Walton Goggins.
Fallout Season 2 Eyes Exciting New Cast Member
Following Season 1’s massive success, Prime Video was quick to issue a renewal forSeason 2 ofFallout, which went into productionlate in 2024. The start of filming came with some new cast members of the show, the latest of which is a Star Wars and MCU favorite. According to industry insiderJeff Sneider, he has heard that Kumail Nanjiani is joining the cast ofFalloutSeason 2. Prime Video is yet to confirm Nanjiani’s casting so the news should be taken with a grain of salt right now. There was also no word on who Nanjiani might be playing in theFalloutuniverse.
Nanjiani is best known for his roles inEternals, The Boys,andObi-Wan Kenobi. If hisFalloutcasting ends up being true, this will also not be the first video game-related role the actor has held. Nanjiani has lent his talents toMass Effect: Andromeda,Telltale’sThe Walking Dead: Season 2, andMiddle-earth: Shadow of War.He’s also expected toplay a role in Naughty Dog’s next major title,Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Clearly, no stranger to video games,FalloutSeason 2 would be an exciting arena to see Nanjiani enter into.
The Cast List for Fallout Season 2 Is Growing
Nanjiani’s casting would add to an already exciting cast forFalloutSeason 2. Along with returning cast members like Purnell, Goggins, and Moten, the series has attachedMacaulay Culkin in an undisclosed rolefor Season 2. The Season 1 finale ofFalloutset up the location of New Vegas for Season 2, which many fans of Bethesda’s series are eager to see. This opens the door for a whole new swathe of characters to enter the picture, and it appears that the producers plan to fill these roles with top-tier actors.Filming on Season 2 was recently delayeddue to the impact of the fires in Los Angeles, but is likely to resume shortly.
