Summary
Genshin Impacthas officially scheduled the release of Version 5.4 for February 12.Genshin Impactfollows a frequent update schedule, introducing tons of new content approximately every six weeks. Updates are typically divided into two parts, each featuring different sets of limited characters.
Genshin Impact’s recent updates have heavily focused on the Natlan region, which arrived with Version 5.0. As Natlan’s main storyline slowly wraps up, it seems players will be heading back to some of the previously released regions. The second part of the ongoing Version 5.3 update hosts the Lantern Rite Festival, which is always set in the Liyue region.

While the Lantern Rite Festival debuted just a few days ago,Genshin Impacthas confirmed that players will soon return to the Inazuma region in Version 5.4. This was revealed inGenshin Impact’s most recent Special Program event, which arrived much earlier than many players had anticipated. The primary reason for the early stream was likely that HoYoverse wanted to host it before the Lunar New Year on January 29. As usual, the Special Program’s main focus was the upcoming roster addition: the long-awaited Yumizuki Mizuki. This character was first mentioned by credible leakers several months ago, though back then she was referred to as Kamisato Ayano. HoYoverse also confirmed that players will be able to participate in numerous events during Version 5.4.
Genshin Impact Version 5.4 Events
Currently, HoYoverse has not revealed extensive details on how players can participate in these events, but most are expected to offer various rewards, including precious Primogems. According to fan-made calculations,Genshin Impactplayers will be able to earn over 9,000 Primogemsduring the upcoming update by completing a range of activities, from Daily Commissions to limited-time events.
The flagship event will reward players with a powerful new 4-star polearm, which can be refined to the maximum level. The weapon is expected to be a versatile option for many characters, as its passive ability grants a significant ATK and Movement Speed boost when an Elemental Skill is used. This event also provides an opportunity to test anewGenshin Impactfeature, which simplifies the weapon refinement process.

Regarding the schedule for Limited Character Banners, the first phase ofGenshin ImpactVersion 5.4will feature Mizuki and Sigewinne. The second phase of the update is reserved for two popular Fontaine characters: the Hydro Archon, Lady Furina, and the highly anticipated Wriothesley.
