The latest raid challenge also adds some mechanics fromShadowbringers' Eden raid series, which saw players face another version of The Cloud of Darkness.Final Fantasy 14parties who clear the Chaotic Alliance Raid are rewarded with Clouddark Demimateria 1 and Clouddark Demimateria 2, with bonus amounts of the latter Demimateria dropping based on the number of first-time clears in the raid.

However,Final Fantasy 14confirmed that changes to the Chaotic Alliance Raid reward structure are arriving soon. According to a social media post from Square Enix, excess amounts of Clouddark Demimateria 1 can be exchanged for Clouddark Demimateria 2 starting in Patch 7.16, which will go live on Tuesday, January 21, following a brief server maintenance period. While Square Enix did not state what the exchange rate of Clouddark Demimateria 1 to 2 would be, the change will allow more players topurchase the A Half Times Two hairstyleand the Dais of Darkness mount, both of which require 49 and 75 Clouddark Demimateria 2 respectively.
