During aninterview with 4Gamer,Final Fantasy 7 Remakeproducer Yoshinori Kitase and director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that the game will come to the PlayStation 5. This is excellent news for PS5 owners, as they will be able to play the whole trilogy using the same console. Hamaguchi has also noted that Square Enix plans to release future titles on a “wide range of platforms,” hinting that even consoles such as the Xbox Series X/S could finally have theFinal Fantasy Remaketrilogy available.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Will Come to PS5 and Maybe Even Xbox

This is the latest of several interviews the team had aboutFF7recently. Back in December, for example, Hamaguchi revealed thatthe development ofFinal Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3was progressing well, but it was still too early to provide more details.

Earlier this week, Hamaguchi and Kitase shed more light on the progress, revealing thatFF7 Remake Part 3is still on scheduleand no significant setbacks have been found. Unfortunately, the team could still not give the game an official release window.

The indication that theFinal Fantasy 7 Remaketrilogy will be available on more platforms is compatible with some recent rumors. Earlier in January, for example, one rumor indicated thatFinal Fantasy 7 Remakecould be coming to the Switch 2. If these indications are correct, it’s possible that the whole trilogy will eventually be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, PC, and next-gen consoles such as the PS6. In any case, this is all speculation at this point, so it’s better to wait until Square Enix makes an official announcement before getting too excited.
