TheFive Nights at Freddy’s(FNAF)film series is based on Scott Cawthon’s popular video game of the same time. The first movie produced by Blumhouse Production was released in October 2023; due to the success of the first film, the production company announced that they would be making a sequel. Matthew Lillard would return to reprise his role as the big bad, William Afton.FNAF 2began production in October 2024 and would be released later this year. Some shared the photos on X, formerly Twitter, and among the things that fans noticed was the new pizzeria sign. “The ‘FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2’ pizzeria sign has been revealed! Sadly the pictures are low quality because they cannot go any closer, but I will be trying to get some higher quality pictures soon!” one shared on X. The snaps were somewhat blurred and were noticeably taken from a distance. Meanwhile, another user shared a photo from the same set, but they were more explicit and taken at a different angle but closer. The pizzeria sign in the pictures visibly features three of the most popular animatronics in the franchise — Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie and Toy Chica. Another noticeable thing was the location; it was noticeably older.
The snaps received mixed reactions from fans on X and Reddit, but most were positive. The old location only stirred excitement among them. Another claimed that it still looked like the set in the first film and appeared to be a remodeled version. A few suggested that it probably looked older becausethe next film would be a prequel. Regardless, many were delighted with what they saw. “Massive improvement from the first. Loving how everythings coming together,” one wrote onReddit. The new pizzeria sign for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is definitely better because it features more animatronics — it has three compared to only one in the first movie. Seeing Chica, alongside Freddy and Bonnie, only cemented their place as the core animatronics in the franchise. Chica’s bright yellow design was in stark contrast toBonnie’s blue colorand Freddy’s brown shade. So, her addition to the pizzeria sign was a great move.
Another noticeable change is the location. The firstFive Nights at Freddy’s movie was filmed in various places in Louisiana, including New Orleans. The sequel was also filmed in the same state, but some scenes were shot at the lakefront. Fans are expecting a new location or set-up for the second movie because the first film’s pizzeria collapsed and the upcoming film is a prequel. From the look of it, the leaked photos were promising and seemingly teased another round of exciting storyline and plot. No wonder fans are all the more thrilled to watch the nextFNAFmovie. Aside from the three animatronics featured in the pizzeria sign,Toy Freddy, a new animatronic and redesigned version of the original Freddy Fazbear, will be part of the anticipated movie.
