Summary
Fortnitefans have a lot to look forward to, as the update schedule for the game has reportedly been leaked online. Despite still being several weeks away fromFortnite’s upcoming Chapter 6 Season 1 update, Epic Games has either intentionally or unintentionally revealed every date for the game’s next content cycle, including when the next “OG” season launches. This news follows recentFortniteevents like the Godzilla x Kong collaboration, with plenty of fresh content on the way in the near future.
It seems like no game is immune from leaks, especiallyFortnite, with collaborations, crossovers, and updates constantly being discovered online. While some of these leaks end up not happening, others, likeFortnite’s numerous Marvel collaborationsand the game’s recent kaiju-themed update, were discovered months in advance. While leaks can ruin the surprise of an unannounced update, they can also build hype, with players eagerly awaitingFortnite’s Chapter 6 Season 2 update, which has seemingly been fully revealed ahead of its official launch.

According toEpic Games' public Trello board, the schedule for every upcomingFortniteSeason 2 updatehas been revealed. This board is where Epic shares incoming updates, bug fixes, and other news regardingFortnite’s various modes. This new board indicates that Chapter 6 Season 2 will begin on June 18, 2025, as originally reported. However, another update will follow shortly on March 11, though its contents remain a mystery for now. Season 3 ofFortniteOG launches on March 25, according to the table, continuing the game’s incredibly popular “back to basics” experience that kicked off in 2024.
New Fortnite Leak Reveals Update Timeline
Looking ahead to April, two updates are scheduled to drop, one on April 8 and one on April 22. Again, the content contained in these updates remains unknown for the time being. Assuming the table is accurate, players can expectFortniteChapter 6 Season 3 to launch on May 2. It’s important to note these are just currently scheduled dates and are subject to change, something Epic Games itself noted on its Trello card. Epic Games is quite open aboutFortniteand the game’s various updatesand content overhauls, announcing even the smallest weapon and balance changes on its numerous social media channels.
As stated earlier, players are counting down the final days ofFortniteChapter 6 Season 1, which will wrap up on February 21. This exciting season brought a lot of new content to the table, namely several new weapons and characters, as well as a few new POIs. It’s unknown how much of the current season’s map will remain once Season 3 launches, though rumors suggestFortnite’s next update will be heist-themed.
