Much like the design for Godzilla, Mechagodzilla would be modeled after the MonsterVerse version of the character. It’s rumored that the mechanical monster could cost 1,800 V-Bucks alone, but may be part of a larger bundle as well. From what’s known, Mechagodzilla will likely exist purely as a cosmetic option for players who wish to purchase it. However,Godzilla won’t just be a cosmetic inFortnite, he will be a full boss on the map with a medallion players can claim for themselves during a match.

Leakers have also posted thatKing Kong will make a debut inFortnitealongside Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, though it’s unknown if he will have any presence on the map during Chapter 6 Season 1. While many fans wish to see the two titans battle it out across the map, Epic Games has not confirmed such a thing. Leakers predict that King Kong will appear in the game’s Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks alone, but may be part of a larger bundle with accessories or even with Mechagodzilla.
While a large portion of the community is excited about the addition of such iconic monsters, many fans are still waiting for therumored crossover betweenFortniteandDemon Slayer, which would likely see characters from the popular anime come to the game. The battle royale has featured crossovers with anime in the past, collaborating with franchises likeDragon Ball Z,Naruto, andMy Hero Academia.
