Fuga: Melodies of Steel 3 Trailer Promises Dramatic Developments

TheFuga: Melodies of Steel 3teaser trailer builds on the “secret movie” teasers hidden in the menus of the first two games. The new teaser adds voice work and new footage on top of what was found inFuga: Melodies of Steel 2. Scenes of bloodshed transition to an announcement that the Berman Empire is invading the nation of Gasco. Meanwhile, it shows the the Taranis, the massive battle tank at the center ofFuga’s unique JRPG mechanicsthat was thought lost at the end ofFuga 2. Now the tank seems to sprout wings and fly, with lines suggesting that the story will take the cast to the moon and beyond.

In its press release, CyberConnect2 outlined more of whatMelodies of Steel 3will bring to the table when it releases, detailing “substantial changes” to the existing battle system, as well as an upgraded “Intermission” system. The Intermission system allows players to unlock the hidden powers of the Taranis and evolve it into its ultimate form. They can also uncover secret narrative scenes and even “change fate” by navigating the timeline.

Reaction to the trailer’s release was generally positive. Many fans expressed excitement for the story’s conclusion, looking forward to the dramatic turns promised in the teaser.
