Thepatch notesforHalo Infinite’s Spring Update are massive in scope. Among the new content, Operation: Frontlines has launched, adding a new Operation Pass for players to work through. According to the developer, this pass system has “evolved” thanks to feedback from the community. In addition to 20 tiers of free content, players can purchase a Premium option that includes 50 tiers of rewards. This new pass features an ODST theme, and the Premium Pass instantly unlocks the BR75A2 Hammer weapon model for the BR75 Battle Rifle, among other instant unlocks.

Beyond the new Operation Pass, the Spring Update has made some significant changes to Multiplayer. In particular, the game has introduced a new weapon called the Fuel Rod SPNKr. As the name suggests, this new weapon is a hybrid, mixing elements of the classic Fuel Rod Cannon and SPNKr rocket launcher. While some fans havecriticized the newHalo Infiniteweapon’s design, it looks to offer an additional power weapon option for use during multiplayer games. According to the developer, the Fuel Rod SPNKr is semi-automatic, boasting a slightly faster firing rate than the M41 Rocket Launcher, and can hold six projectiles.

In addition, a new mode has come to the game called Assault. If the mode sounds familiar, that is because it originated inHalo 2’s multiplayer. InHalo Infinite, the Assault mode pits two teams of four players against each other as they try to plant a bomb in the enemy’s base. The developer has introduced Assault and Squad Battle: Assault playlists dedicated to the game mode. These playlists will both include two versions of Assault, Neutral Bomb and One Bomb, with Squad Battle: Assault taking place on the corresponding Squad Battle maps. It is worth noting that players have a limited time to check out the playlists, as they will be removed from matchmaking on July 20, 2025.

The Spring Update forHalo Infinitealso brings numerous changes to multiplayer balance, and a new Forge-created map called Origin, which is based onHalo 5’s Coliseum, has been added. Numerous bugs and other issues have been squashed, providing a better gameplay experience. Hopefully, these changes will keep players satisfied while they wait for more news on thenext title in theHalofranchise.
