After startingHello Kitty Island Adventure, players will quickly meet every character on the island and pick up a few starter quests. To get to other areas of the island, though, you will need tocomplete one specific quest for Chococatcalled ‘Power Up The Gate’.
This quest asks players to find three Yellow Power Crystals.Hello Kitty Island Adventureplayers must craft a Power Crystal Sensor and find all three Yellow Power Crystal locations to open the gate andprogress into the Spooky Swamp– and the rest of the island.
How To Find Power Crystals
To find Power Crystals, you mustcraft a Power Crystal Sensor. This item will work for every type of Power Crystal inHello Kitty Island Adventure, Yellow Power Crystals included. You willget the recipe for this as you progress the ‘Power Up The Gate’quest forChococat.
Crafting a Power Crystal Sensor requires3x Sticks and 3x Magnets.
Equip the Power Crystal Sensor with the item selection wheel (or the shoulder buttons of your controller). The icon willpulse faster as you get closerto a nearby Power Crystal location.

Yellow Power Crystal Location #1: Beginner’s Bridge Puzzle
TheBeginner’s Bridge puzzle is found just a few seconds’ walk to the leftofChococat and the Crafting Table. Look for what looks like a set of ruins next to the coast. Chococat should be following you during the ‘Power Up The Gate’ quest –jump on one of the pressure plates, and Chococat should jump onto the other, opening the way inside.
The Beginner’s Bridge puzzle simply requires you toplace a block onto a pressure plate to lower a bridge. Walk up to the block, pick it up, and walk over to the pressure plate to power up the bridge.
The bridge will lower, then cross over to the other side andclimb the wall to the left to get the first Yellow Power Crystal.
Yellow Power Crystal Location #2: Crystal Conundrum Puzzle
ThesecondHello Kitty Island AdventureYellow Power Crystal locationis inside another ruin. This one is located in the far west of the main island, on ahill above a chest on the western shore. Climb up the hill, then step on the pressure plate to open the door intothe Crystal Conundrum Puzzle.
If Chococat doesn’t follow you up the hill, walk a bit to the right to reset his position.
In this puzzle,go down to the lower level firstand take the box up to the middle level where you entered.Place it onto one of the pressure plates by the sealed door, then pick up the other box. This will remove the stairs leading down. Place this box onto the second pressure plate by the sealed door to unlock it andfind the second Yellow Power Crystal location.
Yellow Power Crystal Location #3: ‘Building Bridges’ Quest
Thelast Yellow Power Crystal is found across a broken bridgejust to thenorth of My Melody’s shopin the center of the main island. Walk up to the bridge and interact with the sign to begin the ‘Building Bridges’ quest.
You will bedirected to My Melody, who can be found just to the south in her shop. To fix the bridge,My Melody needs 2x Strawberry Crates, which can be found all over the island. Gift her these Crates, then lead her to the bridge.
A cutscene will automatically play and My Melody will repair the bridge to the island to the north. Walk over the bridge andpick up the third Yellow Power Crystal on the shore of this newly unlocked island!
