Blade Phantom Attack Overview In The First Berserker: Khazan
Blade Phantom is located near theBattered Blade NexusinTempest Cliff. After completing the last trial, go up the slope, cross the wooden bridge, and head through the pathway cut through the mountain. Here, you will find the Blade Nexus next to some statues, which you can interact with to regain your health, level up your stats, and proceed to initiate the boss cutscene.
Phase 1
6-Hit Combo
The boss performs a 6-hit combo comprising four fist attacks followed by two kicks, which are slightly delayedto mess with your guard timings.
Dive Kick
Blade Phantom starts by kicking you and thenleaping into the air. This is followed by a powerful dive kick.
Dual Blades Combo
This attack starts with ared slash shown on your screen, signaling the boss to pull out his dual blades. He then performs a quick 6-hit combo, all of which is relatively easy to Brink Guard.
Grab & Stomp
At times, Blade Phantom cancels his combos to transition into a grab animation. An audio cue provides enough time to react to the grab. Regardless of whether the grab is successful, the bossfollows it up by charging his foot and stomping the ground, causing spikes to emerge from the surrounding area.
Greathammer Slam
The boss conjures a greathammer and charges to slam the ground, causing spikes to emerge from the surrounding area. This is a heavily delayed attack.
Spear Jab
This attack sees the boss dash back and summon a spear, which he then uses to jab you.
Phase 2
Claws & Spear Throw
As soon as the second phase starts, the boss takes out his claws and performs a multi-hit combo, which is followed by a leap into the air. He then throws his spear at your location, which erupts after a short while, causing spikes to emerge from the surrounding area.
Greatsword & Greathammer Combo
Blade Phantom takes out his greatsword and performs a multi-hit combo. The boss then summons a greathammer, which he uses to slam at your location, causing spikes to emerge.
How To Beat Blade Phantom In The First Berserker: Khazan
Blade Phantom is quite an aggressive boss but gives you ample chances to heal between attacks. Most of his attacks are fairly easy to Brink Guard, but you will need to learn the timingsof them to do so. Whenever the boss transitions between fast and delayed attacks, you may press the guard button multiple times to potentially get a Brink Guard. For the grab, however, you must always keep your ears open, as you need to dodge as soon as you hear the audio cue. This grab can take out half of your health, and it’s not worth losing a heal over.
attempt to save your heals for the second phase, where the boss starts unleashing more unrelenting attacks.

The Dual Blades attack is the most important one to perfectly guard against. This 6-hit combo drains a significant portion of the boss’s stamina, breaking down his posturefor a Brutal Attack.
During this fight, you’re able to make use of the Skill Tree, so make sure to have a few active Spirit Skills to use throughout. The one I personally found useful is theRuthlessskill in theFrenzycategory. It consumes one Spirit and can shred through the boss’s health bar. Be sure to use it before performing a Brutal Attack.

As the second phase starts, the boss will perform the Claw attack followed by the spear throw.Be on the lookout, as this attack doesn’t end there—the boss can immediately teleport to your location and pull out the greatsword for another combo. Having at least two heals for the second phase is a must. There’s also another attack where the boss throws a spear from the ground, teleports to your location, and performs a leg stomp. Both of these attacks can be guarded against, and you won’t need to worry about the spikes.
Unlike the previous boss fight with Yetuga, in this battle, you’re able to earn Skill Points as well as Lacrima, depending on how much damage you deal to the boss. This is great because it allows you to try the boss fight multiple times, and even in defeat, you can upgrade your stats and learn new skills at the Blade Nexus.
