There are a few ways to make your character stronger inDynasty Warriors: Origins, one of which is Gems. Gems can be equipped at any time and offer passive buffs depending on the gem you choose to equip which is very helpful whenplaying on a higher difficulty.
You’re able to craft new gems and upgrade the ones you’ve already unlocked, with a lot of the system seeming random. Here is how to craft and use gems, along with how to increase the chances of you crafting the specific gem you want.

How To Craft & Level Up Gems In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Gem crafting is done using Pyroxene, and can be done at any Inn or tent in the game. When in your room, the second option from the top will be, “Create Gems”. From here you’ll be able to use as many Pyroxene as you’d like tocraft gems at a one-to-one ratio. There are a set number of gems that can be crafted, and each Pyroxene has a chance of crafting any of those five gems.
Once a base gem is crafted, it will be at level 1 and can be equipped in your Battle Preparations menu. After the first gem of a kind has been crafted, every repeated gem will give XP towards the base gem, leveling it up and increasing its potency with every level. Unless you want specific gems, there’s no harm in using all of your Pyroxene at once to craft a lot of gems and upgrade them all across the board at random.
If you do prefer specific gems over others, there is a chance that every time you craft a single gem it will activate,“Eyes of the Sacred Bird” which will randomly select three gems that limit which gems are craftedwith all Pyroxene used. You can cancel this effect by backing out and going back into the gem crafting menu. Crafting one gem at a time can be tedious, though you can do so in hopes you’ll activate Eyes of the Sacred Bird on the one gem you want to focus on.
Eyes of the Sacred Bird helps limit the random element of Gem Crafting but does not get rid of it.
Restores healthfor every 100 enemies defeated.
Ascendance Gem
Activates a chance to automatically block an attack from an enemy officer.
Where To Get Pyroxene In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Pyroxene will randomly spawn throughout the overworld, andappear as orange crystals sticking out of the ground. Interacting with one of these crystals in the overworld will give you one Pyroxene and make that crystal disappear. Everything youcomplete a Skirmish or Battle, some Pyroxene in the overworld map will respawn, giving you a reason to go back and explore old areas every chance you get, as new Pyroxene is always popping up. You can also occasionally get Pyroxene from letters also read in your room in the Inn or a tent.
