To get the breathing device inIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, also known as theRebreather, you’ll have to wait until you reachSukhothaiduring themain story quest called ‘The Blessed Pearl.‘After several cutscenes, you can set off to explore more Sukhothai by boat in ‘The Blessed Pearl.’ However, you’ll also have a bit of prep to do before you can grab the breathing device.

Breathing Device Location (Tongdang’s Hut Location)

To get the breathing device, you’ll need to buy it from aSukhothai vendor calledTongdang. You’ll need totravel by boatto reachTongdang’s Hut, located toward themiddle of the Sudokhai map, pictured above. Although Tongdong wants to offer you a fair price for theRebreather on the table, it doesn’t come cheap, being a rare piece of kit. You’ll need to fork out a whopping798 bahtto buy it, the currency used in the Sukhothai region. You’ll unlikely have enough money at this point in the game, so you’ll probably wonder how to get enough cash together.

How To Get Money For The Breathing Device (How To Steal Voss’s Gold)

After speaking with Tongdang about the breathing device for the first time, you immediately unlock a quest calledVoss’ Gold Stash. If you don’t have enough money to buy the Rebreather, completing this quest is essential to get enough money to buy it. Head to thenortheastcorner of the Sukhothai map by boat and sneak past the guards inVoss’ campuntil you reach thefirst floor of the main building.

One of the safest and quickest ways there can be to sneak through theopening with white paintisby travelingunder the wooden platformfrom the east of the area near thesecond cat painting, but you can also approach the camp from almost any direction if you’re careful to avoid the guards.

If you keep traveling under the platformpast the opening in the floor with white paint, there is also asecret roomcontaining aLost Artifact of Asiato grab, the Ganesha Statue.

Voss' camp is well guarded, so the mission becomes much easier after grabbing theRoyal Army Disguiseon the table just outside the main building, as pictured above. After equipping the disguise, you can head up the exterior stairs of the main building and enter the building through the side window without any trouble.

Wearing the Royal Army Disguise enables you to stroll past most of the guards unnoticed until you reach the room with Voss' gold, which contains a captain you’ll have to fight. Take him out and use theSukhothai safe code5484to open the safe andsteal four gold barsfrom inside worth500 bahteach. While you should have more than enough money with the gold alone, there is also awad of cash (100 baht)on the table to swipe, a locked room, and a chest to open with more goodies.

Buying The Breathing Device (Rebreather)

Return to Tongdang’s Hutto buy the breathing device with the money from the gold you stole from Voss, which you’ll find on the table in front of Tongdang. You should also have plenty of cash left to pick up the nearbySukhothai MysteriesandSukhothai Adventure pamphletsfor450 baht each, which you can only buy once you own the breathing device.

While you’ll need the breathing device to proceed with the main story, it also comes in handy when searching for more secrets across Sukhothai and beyond during andafter finishingIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, with plenty of underwater secrets to uncover in previous areas of the game, such as in Vatican City.
