Depending on both their skill level andthe difficulty setting that they’re playing on,Dynasty Warriors: Originsplayers may find themselves taking a fair amount of damage throughout the course of their playthrough. With this in mind, those new to the franchise will almost certainly find themselves wondering how to heal sooner rather than later.
Thankfully, learning how to heal inDynasty Warriors: Originsis relatively straightforward, with players simply needing to use a special consumable item to replenish their health. The game even provides an option for auto-healing, which should come in handy for those who don’t want to be constantly peering down at their health bar trying to decide when best to heal.

How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
As inpreviousDynasty Warriorsgames,Dynasty Warriors: Originsplayers can heal by using meat buns, which can be found by breaking pots in and around enemy bases. Enemy Officers may also randomly drop Meat buns after being defeated, although only while playing on the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings. On Hero and Ultimate Warrior, enemy officers will no longer drop meat buns.
Assuming they have at least one in their inventory, players can eat a meat bun at any point during battle by pressing Up on the D-Pad. If their inventory is full when they collect a meat bun it will be automatically consumed, unless the player is at full health, in which case it will remain on the ground. Initially, players will only be able to hold three meat buns, but they can increase their capacity with the Meat Bun Glutton skill if they find that three is not enough.

As they progress further through the main campaign, players will gain access to other consumable items that can replenish their health. However, even after this happens, meat buns remain the most reliable form of healing inDynasty Warriors: Origins.
If players would rather not have to worry about using meat buns themselves, they can enable the “Auto-Use Meat Buns” option in the Configuration menu, which will ensure that meat buns are used whenever the wanderer’s health falls below a certain level.Players can still use meat buns manually even when the “Auto-Use Meat Buns” option is set to on, so it’s a good idea to enable it even if they don’t plan on relying on it.
