After decades of retelling the same old story, the team over at Omega Force decided to do something a little different withDynasty Warriors: Origins. Rather than controlling one of the many great historical heroes that franchise fans have come to know and love, players take control of an original character who must decidewhich of the three great factions is best suited to bring peace to the realm.
Once they’ve made their choice, a Guardian of Peace will begin to actively work against them in an attempt to have one of the other two factions rise to power instead. However, it’s possible forDynasty Warriors: Originsplayers to derail Bailuan’s nefarious plans, as is the case when it comes to unlocking the true ending for Shu and the “A Truly Just World” Trophy / Achievement.
How to Unlock the True Ending for Shu in Dynasty Warriors: Origins (Liu Bei Secret Ending)
Those hoping to see the true ending for Shu will need todefeat Cao Cao at the Battle of Changban, which takes place during the game’s fifth and final chapter. Of the three secret endings inDynasty Warriors: Origins, this is by far the easiest to unlock, as players will only need to alter one character’s fate in order to see it, and they won’t need to worry too much about time constraints either. That said, it’s still a good idea to switch tothe Historian difficulty settingjust to make life that little bit easier and maximize the chances of success.
Players should proceed through the battle as usual until Cao Cao’s main force arrives in the circular area near the top of the map. At this point, they’ll want to defeat any enemy officers that are attacking Liu Bei and then make their way north toward the Wei forces, taking out any officers they encounter along the way. Once they arrive at their destination, they shouldhead straight for Cao Cao and try to take him out as quickly as possible. In an ideal world, they’d want to disband his large force first, but with Liu Bei still in danger and edging ever closer to the escape point, it’s best to get things wrapped up as quickly as possible here.
Once Cao Cao falls, the Fate Altered message will appear on the screen and players will need to defeat Bailuan in a duel to end the battle. From there, they shouldcomplete the final two battles of Chapter 5 as normal, after which, they’ll be treated to the Shu true ending. It’s possible to get the true ending on one’s first playthrough with some careful planning, although, if they miss it, players can simply restart fromthe Battle of Changbanvia the Story menu at the Inn once they’ve completed Liu Bei’s storyline.
Players will unlock the “A Truly Just World” Trophy / Achievement if they complete the Shu story with the true ending.
