The SR9 was one of the new weapons introduced in Season Starfall inDelta Force, and while it’s not anything special, it’s still a solid choice for players who want to play a designated marksman role. Players who prefer mid-long-range shootouts can make great use of this rifle, but before any of that, they’ll have to unlock it first.
Unlike the majority ofweapons inDelta Force, getting the SR9 involves a different process. It’s not hard to get by any means, but this weapon also come with a new unlock system that might seem familiar to fans of multiplayer FPS games. Here’s how to get it.

How to Get The SR9 in Delta Force
The SR9 is the first weapon in the game to be locked behind the Armory in Warfare mode, which works very similarly tothe Armory system inMW3.To unlock this weapon, all players need to do is get 30 kills with Marksman Rifles. Once they meet the required kill quota, the SR9 will automatically be unlocked for the Recon class.
On a related note, the Armory inDelta Forcealso contains unlockable attachments for weapons, including sights, charging handles, and magazines. More weapons are expected to be added as Armory unlocks in future updates.

Is The SR9 Any Good in Delta Force?
The SR9 is decent, at best. Without any attachments, this goes down to about0.5 seconds with a max effective range of 90 meters. When fully kitted out for range with the Resonant Sniper Rifle Suppressor, it can take a target down in 0.6 seconds from 130 meters away with three shots to the body. You can cut its TTK down from this range to 0.33 seconds by scoring two headshots, though this is easier said than done in a practical scenario against moving targets.
The rifle does have a special Trigger attachment slot, which can be used to install a Precision Trigger that improves its sluggish rate of fire from 261 to 307 RPM. This puts the SR9 closer to the PSG-1 in terms of TTK (0.44s), but it’s not nearly enough to make it stand out, especially since the SR-25 fires at a faster rate of 364 RPM while doing the same damage.

Overall, the SR-9 is very comparable to the PSG-1 in terms of performance and attachment selection. The two rifles share a similar recoil pattern, but the PSG-1 still wins simply because it has more attachment slots. The SR9’s stock cannot be removed, and since it doesn’t count as an attachment, you can’t useDelta Force’scalibration featureon it either.
