There’s a lot of walking involved inEternal Strands, and thankfully, players can fast travel for free at any time, provided they meet the right conditions. The explorable zones in this game are fairly large, and while there aren’t many ways to teleport around, just having a way to travel to and from key locations is going to save you a lot of time.
Fast traveling is pretty straightforward, but inEternal Strands, it does involve a few extra steps that players will want to know as theyprogress through the game. Here’s how you can unlock fast travel points and use the Loomshard, Brynn’s personal one-way-ticket back to base.

How to Fast Travel in Eternal Strands
Players will unlock the fast travel feature very early on during one of the introductory quests in the Glintwood Hollow. Here, you’ll be tasked with finding and fixing a Loomgate, a waypoint of sorts that serves as fast travel stations. To unlock Loomgates, you need to clear any debris and obstructions blocking them. Destroy rubble with attacks or useEternal Strand’sphysics-based magic systemto move them out of the way, then interact with the Loomgate.
During this early quest, players will need to finish the rest of the objectives before the Loomgate becomes active.

Loomgates are the main way to fast travel between areas inEternal Strands. There should be at least one Loomgate in each explorable zone, and you’ll have to search for them if you want to activate them. To use a Loomgate, interact with it, and select your destination.
Keep in mind that if you lose all your health, you’ll lose the majority of your resources. You will, however, get to pick which resources you get to retain. If you increase your carrying capacity inEternal Strands, you’ll also increase the number of items you get to take back with you when you die. WIth this in mind, consider teleporting back to base once your pack is full so you don’t risk losing materials.

How to Use the Loomshard in Eternal Strands
After you restore the first Loomgate, you’ll receive the Loomshard, a pocket-sized waystone thatlets you return to base at any time and from anywhere.Using the Loomshard doesn’t cost anything, but you need to wait for a fairly lengthy animation to finish. You’ll be vulnerable to damage during this time, so only use the Loomshard when the coast is clear.
To use the Loomshard, cycle through your consumables slot (press Z/X on keyboard, or the D-Pad on controller), then use it as you would a Vitality Tonic. If you’re playing on keyboard, you’re able to bind the Loomshard to a dedicated key to save you some time.
The Loomshard is only for returning to base. You can technically use it to reach other areas by going back home and using the Loomgate there, but keep in mind that travelling to and from your base will cause time to progress, potentially changing the conditions of the area you want to explore.
