Though the roster is usually the main event, stages/arenas play a key part of the fighting game experience. Arenas are far more than just the backdrop for the action, often being the glue that brings all thefighting game’s elements together, presenting the game’s art style, setting the game’s visual tone and atmosphere, and building a narrative through subtle environmental details.Injustice’s arenas do all this and more.
Arenas play an even greater role inInjustice’s identity, with each one firmly cementing the series' connections to the DC Universe. From the Hall of Justice to Metropolis to Wayne Manor, theInjusticeseries has delivered more than its fair share of memorable stages, but there are still plenty of iconic DC locales that a hypotheticalInjustice 3could take inspiration from.

Arenas That Should be in Injustice 3
Star City
TheInjusticeseries has already had its fair share of Metropolis and Gotham-based arenas, and there are two other oft-overlooked DC cities that deserve their time in the spotlight. Star City is one such location. Heavily inspired by San Francisco, DC’s Star City is the tech capital of California, and it’s the stomping ground forOliver Queen’s Green Arrow. As such, it’d be fun to see anInjustice 3arena set somewhere in Star City, perhaps atop Queen Tower or deep underground inside the Arrowcave.
Central City
The other DC city often forgotten about is Central City, the home ofthe Scarlet Speedster, Flash. S.T.A.R. Labs has been mentioned a few times throughout theInjusticeseries, but players have never been taken there. That could change inInjustice 3. Alternatively, a Central City-based map inInjustice 3could see players going toe-to-toe in the Flash Museum, located in the city center.
Bludhaven
TheInjusticeserieshas already given fans plenty of Gotham City-based locations, but if a potentialInjustice 3wanted to deliver a similar vibe while offering something new, it could present a stage based on Bludhaven. Located between Gotham and Atlantic City, Bludhaven is Nightwing’s hunting ground after he sets off to start his solo crime-fighting career.
Hall of Doom
The Legion of Doom has had a few different names over the years, and even more interchangeable members. Essentially the anti-Justice League, the Legion of Doom sets out to defeat the world’s greatest heroes, and though they rarely succeed, they never stop trying. From Lex Luthor to The Joker to Black Manta to Cheetah and even the likes of Brainiac and Sinestro, the Legion of Doomhas seen some formidable villains join forces, many of whom conduct their evil business from the safety of the secret Hall of Doom, a base located in Slaughter Swamp. Though Slaughter Swamp appeared inInjustice 2, the Legion of Doom’s headquarters did not.
Iceberg Lounge
IfInjustice 3feels it needs to include another Batman-inspired location, then the Iceberg Lounge would be a good pick. Seen a few times in theBatman: Arkhamseries andMatt Reeves’The Batman, the Iceberg Lounge is a shady nightclub usually run by The Penguin.
Titans Tower
TheInjusticeseries' Teen Titans have really been put through the wringer. Beast Boy dies in the Metropolis nuclear explosion that kicks off theInjusticetimeline, Kid Flash dies later, Superboy is almost killed by Superman, and the whole team are trapped in the Phantom Zone for six years. It’s unclear if Titans Tower is left standing by the end ofInjustice 2, but it’d be great to get a stage based on the iconic location in a potential sequel.
