Summary
KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World!finally got a new season in 2024. Season 3 aired from April to June 2024, with 11 episodes. The series changed studios for this season; it was animated by studio Drive, and not Deen (which animated both seasons 1 and 2).
Some fans felt the pacing was boring and that the tone was not right for these new episodes. Still, most people seem to recommend it anyway, asKonoSubais one of thebiggest isekai hits in the last decade (and some fans alsowant to smell like it).

Andthe official account for the anime on X (formerly Twitter) is teasing that there is more to come. They posted a picture of a paper, and all we can read is the series title, and “Sylvia: Akeno Watanabe”. Watanabe has been voicing Sylvia since the character debuted (in theLegend of Crimsonmovie), so it’s something new that will involve Sylvia (a fourth season, for example).
Fans Are Expecting a New Season
With the post teasing that Sylvia will be featured in whatever is coming, fans are expecting a new season to be announced. Season 3 adapted volumes 6-7 of the original light novel. Sylvia is a major antagonist introduced in volume 5, so there are plenty of possibilities of new projects involving her (it could also be a new movie).
We Are Likely to Learn in March
A new OVA wasannounced in December 2024, and it comprises two new episodesfor the third season. These are likely to be just extra episodes that make no difference to the main plot line, and are slated for July 22, 2025, in Japan. As happened with previous OVAs, they might be released on Crunchyroll at some later date (or maybe on the same day).
The thing is, if there is a new announcement coming,it is likely to be made when the OVA premieres in Japan. So if a new season is in the works, we will probably learn about it in March.

A two-episode OVA is scheduled to be launched on Jul 22, 2025, in Japan. So far, no international release is confirmed. The news the official KonoSuba account is teasing remains to be announced.

Cast
Based on Natsume Akatsuki’s novel and light novel series, KonoSuba parodies the isekai genre by following a party of “heroes” who are the definition of dysfunctional.
