Summary
Riot Games is already planning to make a major change to the new “Feats of Strength” system added toLeague of Legendsas part of the Season 15 update. The massively popular MOBA has often made sweeping changes to the game as part of its new competitive seasons, tinkering with the game balance and trying to keep the experience fresh. The early season updates often feature major changes to items and gameplay, withRiot adding the new Atakhan boss monsterin Season 15. Now, one major change for the new season is set to receive some adjustments.
Alongside the multiple other changes forLeague of Legends' Noxus-themed Season 15, Riot Games also rolled out the new “Feats of Strength” mechanic. Feats of Strength tasks teams with achieving two of three specific objectives before the other team, granting the ability for the winner to craft Tier 3 boots. The initial iteration of the mechanic features achieving First Blood, taking the first turret, and slaying the first three Epic jungle camps as the necessary objectives to claim the buff. However, one particular task is set to be shelved in a future change to the system.

As reported by Dexerto,League of LegendsLead Gameplay Designer Matt “Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison recently spoke on the upcoming changes planned for Feats of Strength. Phroxzon revealed that Riot Games is planning to remove First Blood as one ofthe objectives for Feats of Strength, though he did not confirm what the new objective would be. Phroxzon also shared that the change would not go live until either the 15.2 or 15.3 patch. Phroxzon also shared several smaller changes made through a hotfix following the new season’s release.
The change to Feats of Strength comes as players have already recognized the power of the new buffs afforded by Tier 3 boots. Many fans have felt that the boost received from winning the Feats of Strength challenge can be game-determinative, placing an added emphasis on winning the challenge. Phroxzon also shared a bit ’s approach to balance changesin the new season, preferring to focus on smaller-scale changes and tuning before going after mechanics.
The launch ofLeague of Legends' new Noxus-themed season comes as Riot looks to have plenty in the pipeline besides its main MOBA. The developer has confirmed it has multiple shows in the works following the success ofArcane, withnew series based on Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia said to be coming. Riot Games also announced late last year that the studio would be adaptingLeague of Legendsinto a trading card game, expected to release sometime in 2025. With multiple new shows, a card game, and big changes toLeague of Legends, 2025 is set to be a big year for Riot Games.
