TheLogitech G Pro X Superlight 2has been a personal favorite since reviewing it over a year and a half ago. Its no frills, lightweight design are perfect for everyday use and gaming. Logitech has taken a simple-yet-responsive approach to the Pro X Superlight 2 and made a gaming mouse that is tough to beat. And yet, Logitech G has made a slight tweak to the Pro X Superlight 2 with the Pro X Superlight 2 DEX that, for some users, will make it even better.
At a quick glance, theLogitechG Pro X Superlight 2 DEX might not seem all that different from the base model, and in a lot of ways that’s true. The key difference is that the DEX has a slight curve on the left side of the mouse and a wider base to fit within a right-handed person’s grip. It’s that deviation from the Pro X Superlight 2’s symmetrical design that makes the DEX different, and for right-handed people, I would say better.

That isn’t to say the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 is a bad or uncomfortable mouse, but the addition of the slight curve and a wider bottom makes the DEX more comfortable in the hands. It fits snugly without making it difficult to use the side mouse buttons or slide across a large mousepad. The choice of the DEX name might make some gamers think that this is an ambidextrous mouse, but it will be less comfortable for most left-handers than the basic Superlight 2.
Outside of that design tweak, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX is functionally the same as the Superlight 2. It features the same, ultra-responsive Hero 2 sensor capable of up to 44K DPI and Logitech’s Lightspeed USB-A dongle for 8kHz polling. The mouse can pick up the slightest movements and also keep track as you quickly slide it across a large surface. There’s a good clickiness to the mouse’s buttons, the scroll wheel is smooth but with enough resistance so that you can pinpoint a spot in a website. And as the name implies, it’s an extremely lightweight mouse (only 60g).

There isn’t much more to say about the Superlight 2 DEX that I haven’t already covered in my initial review. This is one of thebest gaming miceI have ever used, and is a major recommendation for anyone not looking for extra functionality or a plethora of additional buttons. It has great battery life to boot, and the Superlight 2 is much easier to charge than its predecessor, requiring only a basic USB-C cable instead of a proprietary one.
Some users might prefer a little more heft to their gaming mouse, and for them, I’d recommend theLogitech G502 X. But if you want a mouse that feels like an extension of your hand and glides across the mousepad effortlessly without sacrificing any accuracy or responsiveness, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 DEX is an incredible pick-up.
