Great news forLycoris Recoilfans: something big is coming! While we’ve been eagerly waiting for a second season, thebeloved seriesis treating us to something just as sweet:Lycoris Recoil—Friends are Thieves of Time. This is a new project that will give us six episodes whose central characters are Chisato, Takina, as well as the rest of the cast from Café LycoReco. It isn’t a complete season, but it’s the closest thing to it we’ll get, and, for that reason, fans are excited!
It was shown during a concert in which fans saw a hint of a new visual and understood what direction these short films would be made in. This new series is yet again from the amazing studio A-1 Pictures, the studio that always delivers top-notch animation, and this new season gives us allthat we have come to expect from the show: charm, action, and animation. Of course, the lovely character moments that made us stand for this anime. Well, at least while we still wait for season two, something like these short films is something to look forward to!

And even though the exact date for the release of these short films hasn’t been announced yet, the prospect of getting tospend more time with these characterssatisfies fans to no end. In other words, what you get inLycoris Recoilis not only cool missions and dramatic action sequences. It’s an action series with enough character focus to make it stand out from other anime shows about similar themes. It is a great combination of having great amounts of dramatic narrative and more laid-back, everyday situations that are entertaining for everyone.
