The full cast of Make a Girl was revealed over the course of several months, and it consisted of immensely talented individuals.
Gensho Yasuda was unsurprisingly involved in the most important things related to the movie. Not only did he write and direct Make a Girl, but he also handled storyboards, technical direction, and CG direction. Yūichi Imaizumi was in charge of sound direction, while Tsutomu Ueno did sound effects. Kenichiro Suehiro, who previously worked on Goblin Slayer andRe:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World,composed the music for Make a Girl.
What Is Make a Girl Anime Movie About?
Make a Girl is based on the “Make Love” short, which Gensho Yasuda created. The story is set in the future, and it follows Akira Muzatame, an immensely talented scientist responsible for the creation of Salt, a robot that assists people in their daily tasks. However, things take a turn for the worse as Akira is unable to create anything after Salt. Following a series of failed inventions, a friend advises Akira to get a girlfriend. Instead of courting someone, Akira decides to create an artificial girlfriend, whom he names No. 0.
No. 0 is programmed with a certain set of emotions, but soon suffers a conundrum as her feelings begin to evolve.
Make a Girl was produced by Yasuda Gensho studio in collaboration with Xenotoon. Yasuda started the Yasuda Gensho in 2021, and before that, he used to work as a CG animator for Nitroplus.
Make a Girl was released in Japan on Jul 22, 2025.
